Wow. I very much like what i see and hear.
Been looking for something like this for a while.
Are there others available?

If you make them available again, I'll take one or two of the TGTSH pcbs, and can prepay as soon as you give me a go-ahead with pricing and availability. Following this up with a PM.

Oh yes, it works just fine as a stand-alone S/H. It doesn't include a clock as many traditional designs do, but it has a low droop rate and can sample at audio rates (meaning to over 5 kHz) for some truly horrid effects. Smile

Wow. That is a rather beefy panel, if I may say so.

It looks very well done.

Question

Maybe eventually, but not soon. I sold quite a number of these boards, but so far only a couple of people have actually built them out. Rolling Eyes

I don't care about making any money selling boards, but it does take a lot of time and effort to keep track of all the orders and to do the packaging and mailing. At this point, it doesn't seem worth the effort to do another run, but I appreciate your interest, and I will revisit this question in another six months or so.

Mine is at this point only lacking 4x 5.6V zener diodes. My next delivery should have those in them, and I'll be panel mounting mine. I'll take some pictures when that happens.

Hi Ian
am in the process of building my 2nd TGTSH board and am curious about the pcb layout design.
There are a couple of sections where the tracks travel in loops around some components. I assume this is some kind of shielding against noise? Could you tell us a bit more about it? Thanks
Andrew

Right. This is a standard "guard ring" arrangement. It's purpose is to prevent surface leakage currents from draining the holding cap. The guarded circuit is a high impedance point. The guard ring is at the same potential but at a low impedance. Since both nodes are at the same potential, no current can flow.

Very Happy

Ian

Sorry to necro-bump a very old post but seems the right place for it...

Does anyone have the info doc / BOM / and particularly the connection info for J2 and J3 for the 2007 rev. large format PCB?

EDIT: Ian kindly provided this, attached in case it's useful here
