If you haven't tried out Octave (which is free!) I highly recommend it. Here I use it to plot the frequency response of phase shift effects, including the effect of feedback:

While I'm on the topic of frequency responses, here I compute the response of a passive two-pole RC filter used in the "Wein bridge oscillator" as well as some related active filter structures:

And here I compute the frequency of the so-called "treble bleed" circuit sometimes used in guitar electronics:

"Wein bridge oscillator"

Wien, from Max Wien ... same name as the capital of Austria .. you say Vienna, they say Wien (and we say Wenen) :') (but according to Wikipedia William Hewlett invented the oscillator using the Wien bridge as a feedback element ... it must have been one of the first things I've made for beeps - a while after connecting the in and out of my tube amp with some resistor and cap stuff).

Would there be a Wein bridge over the Donau maybe in Wien I wonder ...

But eh, it is really great you are posting these tutorials, they nicely freshen up my rusty knowledge.

Thanks for that!
