So I am enjoying some time off from my daily routine. Only, my love for music always remains. And especially, when it comes to the kind of music that is rooted in the Golden Age of traditional electronic music. There are several artists from back then still active and creating great new tracks (or revisiting their back catalog). And there are quite a number of younger artists inheriting from the old style. It is always great to see how artists and their music evolve over time, so here we go with a smaller number of musicians tonight, partially providing extensively long tracks. From short to really long, enjoy the music by David Wright (Returning Tides, Vol 2), VoLt (Zeitenwende), Ami Hassinen & Michel Brückner (One Hundred Million Miles Under The Stars Revisited), Syndromeda (Order in the Chaos of Life), Ivan Black (Electronically Yours), Cousin Silas & Altocirrus (Time and Tide).

Do you tweet? I just wonder what will happen to the blue bird social media channel now that the chief is in power. And I am reading about many people moving over to Mastodon (or Fediverse). Is that really an alternative? Well, I will surely try it out, in the end, I am a computer guy and like such stuff. Remembering back (yeah, I am old) I started with IRC to exchange with others. Back, when there was no world wide web (believe me, there was such a time, and there were no mobile phones either...). And it was much more difficult to create electronic music, too. Which nowadays has become so easy bringing out all the talent of people to create music on their own. Like the artists you will get to hear tonight, who are Wane of Summer and Time Away (Ring Gate), DreamerProject (Fading Light), Steve Orchard (Macabre), Anna B May (Rituals), Encounters (A Path Beyond), Eagle (Synth. Music) (Daft Muzak for radio stations Vol. 1), Reflex Condition (Autumn Volume 2), Stan Dart (MurInsel, Vol. 5), Michael Brückner & Cilia di Ponte (Twenty-Five Light Years), Menzman & Friends (Insights).

Are you on twitter? Do you follow syndae on there? Or eventually me? This twitter show is on every news channel online and it seems to be complete chaos currently. Someone already said, this is done on purpose to make twitter less significant as a social medium. Everyone running off to the Fediverse now? Well, I am not sure. I set up my own fediverse server though, just in case. Always nice to have a private address and home. And all this blue button discussion made me shake my head so hard, I think I lost quite some hair. Time to calm down a bit and return to something really good and enjoyable. Join me with tracks by Dream Cycle (Passive Imagination), State Azure (Light Span), Desensitized (Chaos In Premonition), Onepointtwo (Music for Spaces), Alex Anthony Faide (Watch's End), Blue Is Nine (Far And Wide), Byron Metcalf, Steve Roach, Rob Thomas (Monuments of Ecstasy), Forrest Fang (The Lost Seasons of Amorphia), Bridge to Imla & Volker Lankow (Ambient Chapel. Live at Schlosskirche Rumpenheim 2018).

What's up guys? I hope you are all feeling good, and if not, tonight's edition might help with that. As always, this is an hour well wasted relishing chilling and relaxing sounds from many talented artists and countries. And this is what I like alot when presenting ambient and electronic music: it brings together all of you listeners to enjoy some time in sound and scapes. At least virtually that is. And it also gives you the chance to discover new and older music to enrich your life. So here I have another pack of joy spending and fun bringing tracks for you composed by moonbooter (Reminiscence), Kraftfuttermischwerk (Es macht auch wirklich keiner mit!), State Azure (Light Span), Eagle (Synth Music) ft. Silencia (Daft Muzak for radio stations (vol.1)), Patrick Kelly (Above the Clouds), Rupert Lally (Cruise Controlled), York (Destinations), David Wright (Returning Tides, Vol 2), WebCam (Journey to an interior).

Tune into the world on

Black Week, Cyber Week, Black Friday. Are you getting swamped by all the "cheapest ever" offers as well? Luckily, this year there is nothing on sale that I need. Not that I would need anything specific. What about you? Are you looking out for some special deal? Let me know in the comments. So am I lucky to not want anything? I read several articles on "deals", which are nothing but labeling existing reductions as "Black Friday" offerings. I did not check if that's true. Would fit in these times though. And then there is a completely free offer to please your ears: another fine edition of syndae. Definitely not a black show with outstanding tracks by Chris Gate, Giant Skeletons (Sleep tides), Michael Brückner & Cilia di Ponte (Twenty-Five Light Years), Klangwelt (Here and Why), Ivan Black (A Tear Soiled Your Cheek), Divine Matrix (Sequencer Drift), Fratoroler (Landscapes), mypan (Mixta caseo patina), Sonic Bodhi (Journey of Awakening).

What happens in billions of years? Did you ever think about it? Probably not. But some scientists did and set up a timeline for a probable future. It's about planets and suns shattering and vanish, about the Galaxy ripping apart, about star systems colliding, merging, disappearing. And about the end of everything, even time. No human will ever experience any of it. And, well, if any being does, they definitely won't remember this show or any of the scientists. But to get an aural impression on the events, join me tonight for the release of Future of the Universe with tracks by Aestheia, Orbital Hum, Xavion, Tuuligan, Cosmic Cadence, Wane of Summer, Roberto Sass, Ambient Indigo, Progeny -1, Ancient Astronaut and Time Away (Future of the Universe).

What is fate? Is it escapable? Well, I don't believe in a global concept of fate that defines one's life like a storyboard for a movie. But sometimes it seems that fate gets hold of you and changes the way you planned your own future. It's not a religious thing, but events providing means to change your perspective on things and what should be in store next for you. One usually assigns negative things to fate and ignores there are positive ones as well. But whatever life holds for you, there will always be a way to handle it and get on. And you should, as there is no second chance or choice. When it's over, it's over. So go on, because life is the only real thing you own. And you know what? Fate has great music for you tonight by moonbooter (Reminiscence), Faber (Sequentium), Andreas Baaden (Night Walk), Parallel Worlds (Plector), CIALYN (A Faint Past Beside Us), Kenneth Hooper (As the Crow Flies), Wilfried Hanrath (Midnightradio Compilation 113), D-Fried (Human is Human's master), Grosso Gadgetto (L'Orchestre secret), Coma Conscience (Ambient Sessions Compilation Vol. 2).

This year seems to be a sad one for electronic music lovers. As many of you will already have heard, Manuel Goettsching passed away at the beginning of this month. I've seen him live on stage several times, and especially remember when he got the Schallwelle Award in 2009. As Ashra, they played a concert that evening as well, and it was mesmerizing. Tonight's edition is kind of a tribute to him and his musical descendents. While not related, I picked some current releases that relate to the spirit of his legacy, at least from my point of view. Of course, closing up with a track of his. Please, find some pleasure in the music given to us by Time Away (Age of Sand), Cousin Silas & Glove Of Bones (A Brief History Of... A Second Volume), Rena + KiloWatts (Force Multiplier), Richard Anthony Bean ft. Paul Landry (Natural Progression), Tom Eaton (Shelter), Steve Roach & Byron Metcalf (The Serpent’s Lair), Ash Ra Tempel (Friendship).

Now, it's that time of year where many people feel the urge to group around trees or candles and try to be kind to each other. I hope for everybody out there to find some time to peace out and having people around who are kind, helpful, loving. Anybody deserves to be safe and to live in peace. Tonight's edition presents new and recent music that I think does give a bit of peace of mind and soul to you listeners. I hope all your wishes come true. And as this is the last show for 2022, I also wish you a Happy New Year which hopefully becomes less catastrophic. Meanwhile, enjoy great music by Erik Wøllo (the Shape of Time), David Vito Gregoli & Ricky Kej (Wild Monsoon), Brioskj (Afterthoughts), Elenniyah, Bernd Scholl (Light of the Moon - 25th Anniversary), Planet Boelex (Approach), Nheap XP (Inside Talk), Paulina Fae (Dreamwalkers Instrumental), Michael Brückner (Winter Volume 1), Meg Bowles (Voices from the Ethereal Forest).

What will it bring, this new year 2023? Is it really new or just an echo of the past one? 2022 was a desaster for EM fans and it ended no good with the passing of Steve Smith and Edward Artemyev. May the rest in peace. So, hopes are up for another 365 day rotation. And I wish you all only the best of the best. It does start really good with a number of live concerts due in January and March. And the German Schallwelle Awards are due as well. Old an new music alike will stay alive on syndae, as for tonight we have music by Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder (Live @ Dorfkirche Repelen 2), Alba Ecstasy (The Stargazer), Michael Brückner (Test of Time), Mike Hans Steffl (Successful Failure), Faber (Sequentium), Nautilus (A Floating City), Steve Smith and the Tylas Cyndrone (Pools of Diversity).

It's already the second week into the new year. It seems to become an interesting one, with many changes ahead. Running websites, for example, urges you to update the systems once in a while. So just happened with syndae home. Not only tiny changes in its look but the whole technology was renewed. Same will happen to other pages I run. Also, the German empulsiv Webzine closed down end of last year. But there may be some kind of successor to it, re-focused maybe, but still keeping you informed about the scene (at least, if you understand German or use a proper translator). It's always a good idea to keep the good things but refresh dated ones. Now, on tonight's show you will find mostly new music. But each track and each artist definitely has a past. Join me for great music by Outlanders (We Own This Sky), Casey & Soeteman (Nonstruct), KS|Optionica (Fourteenth Listen), Conny Olivetti (Old Light Through New Windows), 4T Thieves (The Vinyl Loop), Klangwelt (Here and Why), Nheap XP (Inside Talk), Anodyne Industries (IDMf065 VA), Anatomist (Machine Music, Vol V), Reichenhall (Muschelkalk).

The votes are cast and the nominees announced: The Schallwelle Awards are sealed. In the next editions of syndae I will present to you all the contenders for the upcoming awards, starting off with the ones for album and artist national. Regular listeners of syndae will definitely know all the names on tonights list, some heard more often others rather seldom. These two categories are voted for by you and by Jury, half each. And here they are with Klangwelt (Here and Why), Klaus Schulze (Deus Arrakis), moonbooter (Reminiscence), Stefan Erbe (Distopia), Tangerine Dream (Raum), Martin Stürtzer (Relativity), Spyra (Hospital).

Last week we celebrated national nominees, tonight we are out in the world with album and artist international. And there should be no surprise in contenders for regular listeners of the show, all of them have been on once or more. I really enjoy the mix of styles, though. From space ambient to traditional EM to modern beats. It's all in. So, join me for a nice trip listening to excellent electronic sounds with Colin Rayment (Equilibrium), Erik Wøllo (Sojourns), Jean-Michel Jarre (Oxymore), Skoulaman (Mundus in Motu), Stan Dart (Murinsel Vol. 5), Ian Boddy (Coil), Ron Boots & Rob Papen (A November Evening at CKE), State Azure (Cepheus Origin).

One more round of nominee presentations and only three weeks to go before the Schallwelle award ceremonies. I hope you are thrilled to get to know about the winners. If not, well, enjoy the music you get, as it is really good. And on tonight's edition you will find several familiar names being a regular listener. But there are also some new artists with very impressing works. Definitely a good time to discover the variety in sound that falls under ambient and electronic music. Join me and listen to outstanding tracks by Ian Boddy & Erik Wøllo (Revolve), LAUGE & AES DANA (Terrene), Remote Vision (The Architecture of Time), State Azure (Cepheus Origin), Steve Roach (What Remains), HYRN (Furrows in the Ground), KLET (1984? No!), Tabilonder (Luminescencia), WEGA (Orbiting).

Many people are talking about artificial intelligence taking over the music market in future. Well, I asked an AI named Perplexity about it. It says: "Artificial Intelligence (AI) is expected to play a major role in the future of music, with applications ranging from audio processing using neural networks and machine learning, to automating the process of developing, mastering and categorizing audio. AI can also be seen as a tool that democratizes music and allows for more creative possibilities, while transforming the way we produce and consume music." And further: "AI is capable of composing music. AI music generators are being improved to compose soundtracks for ads, video games, movies, and more[1], and neural networks are capable of writing original music. AI-composed music may even be indistinguishable from the work of human musicians, and AI software can create songs in less than 30 seconds. There are also AI systems that can compose emotional and unique music in real time." Well, I will stick to human composers for now, and we have great tracks tonight by The Great Northern (Oceans), Bluetech (Spacehop Chronicles 2: Restless), Wane of Summer (Alien Deserts), Wellenfeld (Eiswelten), Harald Nies (Multiverse), POLUNDRA (探していたものを見つけたある日), Room of Wires (Welcome to the Endgame), Cartas de Japón (Rucalen), Rena Jones & KiloWatts (Force Multiplier), Stefan Erbe (Genesys 23).

In need for some off-time? Well, join me with this edition featuring wonderful ambient music by cool artists. Best to listen to with good headphones crouched in your sofa. Well, yes, you could listen to it in the background, but it is really worth to listen closely to these great compositions. The fascinating parts are in the details of sounds and noises. What do you say? Come in and have a go with music by Progeny-1 (Alien Deserts), Erik Wøllo (The Le Paysage), Lorenzo Montanà (Decorar Silenzio), John Louis Kluck (The Minds Eye), Bart Hawkins (Entering The Axis Mundi), Kenneth Hooper (As the Crow Flies), Yoshimichi Setsuda (Midnightradio Compilation 113), Parallel Worlds (Reflections), Arin Aksberg (It Flows Between Us), Altus (Hidden Realms and Vacant Spaces).

I admit to love repeating patterns. As a software developer I should be, shouldn't I? Patterns make solving a problem easier, as these are known well and one knows how to apply them to make thinks work properly. They give structure to the work and make them recognizable to others who later on need to understand what's going on. Well, patterns are surely well known in building construction, maybe rooted from there. And they can definitely be found in music, regardless of the genre (or at least most genres). This is especially true for sequencer based music and styles coming from the golden age of Berlin School. And that's what you get tonight. Enjoy fantastic structures built in sound by TM Solver (Dividuum), Star Maze (Dreams of Motion), Javi Cànovas (Coordinates Vol. 10), Giants of Discovery (And it's Goodnight From The Human Race), René van der Wouden (The Moonstone), Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen (Weathering the Storm).

I admit, it is usually the harmonic, melodic side of ambient and electronic music that makes me happy. But there are some days, when I simply need being beat up. Not physically, of course. But aural. This is such a week, where I relish some harder kicks and punches on my ear-drums. And, surely, my body does catch up and move along. If you listen to syndae for longer, you know it's not the usual kind of techno you will get to hear. It's really cool stuff by Joao Ceser (BRZ), Osiris4 & Levi From Space (Unexpected Ways), Caballero (Wake Up This Is Not A Dream: Remixes), Mira Nait (Neon), AVSV (Afterthoughts), Klangbiotop vs Chris Gate, Sven Phalanx (Live @ SOS-Radio), Sven Phalanx (Live @ SOS-Radio), Tracya (Mindflux), dvidevat (Pulse Defusion), LLLIT (Contemplaciones Internas).

It's still frosty over here in Europe. Actually, more snow was coming this week for us, although we're rapidly going towards spring. No reason to stay cold though, with some more heart beating music on the show, driven by good rhythms and melodic structures. And there are some cool events in sight as well, two of them musically presented on this edition of syndae. You should check out empulsiv for more events in electronic music. And while being a German info portal on electronic music, the event calendar should be easy enought to understand for any of you listeners. But, hey, we are here for some music. So join me on tonight's show with great tracks by Stefan Erbe (GeneSys 23), Otarion (Logos), Wellenfeld (Eiswelten), Giants of Discovery (And it's Goodnight From the Human Race), Dohnavùr (Concrete Animals - The Remixes), Hana Sent and Double Precision (Gravity and Quantum Mechanics 3), Rob Papen & Ron Boots (A November Evening at CKE).

What is it that makes you feel relaxed? I it some special place? Or the company of some valued person or a whole group? Or maybe the opposite, being alone? Maybe it's a specific colour that does the trick. If not a colour, maybe it's a sound or music that will make you lay back and simply relish being. Not sure, which of those things or a combination of several those things does it for me. But I know that great ambient tunes help a lot. But, ok, it's not the quietest selection I have for you tonight. Still, enjoy the show with tracks by Cousin Silas & Daniel Prendiville (No Title As Such...), Francisco Sonur (Then the light comes all over the land), Emilian Gatsov (Mall Womb), State Azure (Ephemeral Spirit), Daniel Coppens (The Hidden Abundance of Purpose), Ivan Black (The Gallery), Jarguna and Nicola Serena (Amongst Jungles), Wilfried Hanrath (9 years of naviar haiku), Steve Roach (Rest of Life).

So I was assembling a desk the other day. Each part from screws to plates were nicely packed, wrapped and numbered. And I had a the multi-page instruction manual that came with it. Lot's of images and what part goes where and what is need to combine them. Luckily the manual had pictures, as the instructions seem to have come from a cheap automatic translation bot. Some sentences were barely recognizable as sentences, missing words or commas, some mumble jumble to read. And somewhere in the process, one screw was missing. Well, I got a bit angry and frustrated. Good, I had some music to help me out and sooth my thoughts. Join me for more of such music with tracks by COOLSUN (Coolsun Deluxe), David Helpling (36), Nicholas Gunn (Thought of You), Gandalf - (Eartheana), Anonim Antonim (Slow Life), Giriu Dvasios ft. Paulius Soham (Heavy Dub Vol. Cool, Adrian Earnshaw (Cosmic Voyager Volume 2), Robert Simon Thoma (Snowy Landscape), Acoustic Ocean (Divine Grace).

Have you ever recorded yourself and listened to it? It usually takes a while until you get used to the sound of your own voice. In daily situations, when you hear yourself talking, the sound resonates within your head and you definitely sound different than to everyboday else. So maybe you won't recognize yourself at first. Well, I barely did this time. A little cold did some tricks on my vocal cords so even I sound strange to myself on this edition. A good fit though, as this show is all about sounds. And you get great ones with tracks by Peter Mergener (New Horizons), Spectral Tune (Structures), DASK (Born from the Stars), Volker Rapp (d7-d5), Anantakara (Before Completion), Martin Herbst (Mosaic), Martin Stürtzer (Ambient Nights Vol. 1).

It's that religious season time in spring where people start hunting for eggs in the backyard. Well, no egg hunting here and no prayers, but ten tracks I found fitting for a more quiet and relaxing time. Not drifting into ambient, but a mix of electronic and acoustic treats that will be yummy for your ears (even you do not have the extra long rabbit ones). By the way, the tradition of decorating eggs is far older than its current use for easter. Eggs have been associated with death and rebirth back to some Egypt and similar cultures ages ago. No need to think about Christianity rites. But enough of shelling around, let's get into fine music with tracks by Sonic Transients (The Rhoen Tapes), Progeny -1 (Dreams Across the Cosmos), Architect of Echoes (Circulus), Shajan (Garden Of Eden), Otarion (Logos), ANNA (Intentions), Christina Tourin (Geodepedie - Hidden Light), Fiona Joy Hawkins & Rebecca Daniel (To The Wind), Spencer Brewer (Behind The Veil), Masako (Call of the Mountains: Ascent).

Quieter times ahead on this edition of syndae. Right, I needed some peace out time again. It was a busy week with the holidays. Especially, if you need to go shopping on the weekend. Shops were closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday, so people tend to go crazy and stuff their carts as if there were no tomorrow. Luckily this time we pre-planned a bit and went shopping at not so busy times early in the morning. Right, the early bird catches the quieter queue at checkout. I like it quiet, and here we go with tonight's tracks by Philipp Baumann (Across Starfields), Carbonates On Mars (The Four Elements: Earth. Volume 1), Rudy Adrian (A Walk in the Shadow Garden), Jeff Greinke (A Thousand Year Flood), Bernhard Wöstheinrich (Genre), Volker Lankow (The Transience Of Life), Janne Hanhisuanto (39), Hiram (Air Songs), Ivan Black (@Ambient Online 4).

This is it, the beasty number of a show. If you have religious believes or not, you will surely have heard of the number associated with the devil himself. Or herself. Who knows. The impersonation of the bad. Or is it? In this concept, the folly oversees and punishes all those who sinned according to some religious rules. Well, for me it is difficult to tell, whether there are people without such sins anyhow. But it definitely reflects that there always is good and bad people in the world. I'm in no position to judge, but it is beyond my logical reasoning, why human beings always have to fight about things or believes. Anyhow. Come in and join me for some devilish fun with music by Peru (The Prophecies), Cinema (The Discovering of Time), Soul Flask (The Cassandra Complex), Michael Shipway (Beneath Folly), Robert Fox (Timeless Vol 2), Time Away & AthinaNiki (Age of Water), Curious Inversions (Iterations), B. Ashra (Satellites), Cousin Silas & Kevin Lyons (The Fortean Project - Phase Two), Kaya Project (Waypoint).
