Long time since I've posted here. Built a few diy kits recently, but this is the first module I've designed and built from scratch myself. Just a proud papa showing off, so please be kind. Cool

It's a Tap Tempo LFO module sized for eurorack (12 hp) and the circuit is taken straight from Electric Druid's data sheet for his TAPLFO chip. I wanted an LFO for my first skiff and my goal was to make all the functions and controls that the chip has to offer available on the front panel. Nothing particularly innovative or new. But I'm pretty happy with the results, so felt like sharing.

PCBs and aluminum front panel fabbed by JLCPCB. Comments, questions, suggestions welcome. Cool

A very full featured LFO. Well done!

You got me wondering about what the electric druid tap lfo chip offers exactly and incase you are not aware there is a minor bug in taplfo 3 that they have fixed (Jan 2023 - It turned out that in certain circumstances, the Clock Output on the 3C chip dropped output pulses when used with a stream of sync input pulses. The new 3D version fixes this minor bug). Hope that helps

Good to know. Thanks!

This module finds it's way into most of my patches and has been working really well for me. I often sync the TapLFO from my SQ-1, and have had no issues with the 3C chip. But just as often I also enjoy using multiple other simultaneous sources of randomness with rhythms and patches in general. So I might not even notice if it dropped a beat. Laughing
