I've posted my new album, Dispensations, on my audio server at https://audio.northcoastsynthesis.com/?a=dispensations. It's twelve tracks exploring different styles and demonstrating the modules I sell. I was trying to write and record this as quickly as reasonably possible, which still ended up being about three weeks. The workflow was from LilyPond scores to MIDI files, which I postprocessed with Perl to separate simultaneous notes. Then I recorded the separated MIDI tracks - for the entire album at a time - each on a Eurorack modular synthesizer with different monophonic and duophonic patches, before mixing down the resulting tracks on the computer. Synchronizing the recordings went a lot better than I had feared it might; apparently the timing on my MIDI interface is good.
