soffmi muhod's biggest fan

While in casual conversational asides to the exciting developments around gentoostudio/decibellinux, it was suggested to me I'd fit in well here, with my stuff.

It was also suggested soffmimuhod may be welcomed as performer. As soffmi muhod's #1 fan, I'm sure I could arrange that (barring other impedance).

Ha! Imagine that. A live soffmi muhod session... would that be safe? Very Happy

Anyhoo, was pleasantly surprised to get my nick here. Been "Digit" since (iirc) 1995... or 93? Making electronic music since the 90s (or 80s if you count some childhood dabbles on a zx spectrm 48k. Alas, never had an amiga (that was the one that had the advanced midi capabilities, right?). Always saw myself as a visual artist first. Then I look back over the couple dozen soffmi muhod releases, and various side projects...

I'm still not calling soffmi muhod music though, even if the suggestions that brought me here are correct and it is a good fit. Wink

Music has the right to children (as the Boards of Canada album title reassuringly asserts), and soffmi muhod is a child of music (a child of that album, and autechre's lp5 (and ep7 was there too... id... one of those are daddy). Just saying, next generation of freed creativity.

ps, made with >99% free software only (would be 100%, but probably a proprietary firmware driver somewhere). Mere Audacity (the last version before telemetry) is the vast majority. Smile

Less is more. Keen to learn how to program my music, fledgling dabbles didn't stick yet. Got side projects that may depend on it.

it was made for speakers I think? and eh .. music .. I don't know about that really, but it is structured sound and I like it Cool

Was listening to some of my own sounds in my car today when the thought occured to me that would it have clear melody and rhythm .. it would have to be short tracks to not be too boring .. for me that is eh, not speaking for others.

What would the whales think about it I wonder Shocked

Anyway, if you like, you can post tracks here, presumably in online music and they may end up on the radio (if someone finds time to edit the playlist(s)).

Also there are four live events per year you can sign up for, or do a radio show .. please bring some lusteners too then .. hmm, did I type that .. listeners I meant ... it is damn quiet here at times Rolling Eyes

(but I'm sure some would like to listen).
