Francesco (urbanspaceman) here — I wanted to share a project I’m working on with my company that might interest a lot of people here on EM.

CosmoLab is basically a modular hardware kit built around Daisy for anyone who wants to prototype or teach DSP/audio without having to design and solder everything from scratch.

The cool thing is: everything that runs on Daisy runs on CosmoLab.
I’m already using it with PlugData/Gen~ and C++.
I’ve also seen some movement happening around RNBO and Rust, so it looks pretty future-proof.

The full kit is made up of 8 boards you can mix and match:

• Mainboard
  
• Audio I/O
  
• MIDI I/O
  
• CV I/O
  
• Display
  
• Potentiometers with LEDs
  
• Keyboards (two options)
  

It’s aimed at R&D teams, makers and teaching setups: you can start prototyping, teaching, testing, etc. right away without spending weeks building PCBs.
