Subject description: question about voltage of the cv/gate input

Will I be able to control the SL with my antique analog synth? The gate out is +12 v, 15k ohms impendance, and the CV is 1v/oct, 330 ohms impendance. Sounds like cv should be ok, but will I need to modify the SL to accomodate the 12v gate? I thought I read on the SL page not to pass it more than 9V. Thanks.

Yes it will be fine.
The gate in on the Soundlab has a 9V zener protection so that anything above 9V gets shunted to ground and won't harm the SL circuitry. 12 volts will still gate it though.
