I bought a used G2X a while ago and a lot of the patches (wich I do belive are from the manufacturer not from the previous owner) ends with NL2, Nl3, DLX, FM4 and DX.

DX is almost exactly like a Yamaha DX7 but what about the others?

Does NL2 and NL3 stand for Nordlead 2 & 3? In that case they are quite different than the original synths. Lfos on NL2 and filters on NL3 are not at all like the originals for example.

Does FM4 and DLX imitate any IRL-synths?

You've mostly got it... NL2, NL3 are Nord Lead 2, 3, DX is for Yamaha DX7, FM4 is for Native Instruments' FM4 and... I don't know about DLX.

Any patches with these suffix are only recreations and so are bound to be somewhat different. It may however be possible to get closer to the original sounds with a bit of tweaking... give it a go. Very Happy
