probleme file format

what does it means when i download a patch and this message appear :
can't load file. file format is not supported.
Is there because i've got an unexpanded G2 ?

No, the file is corrupted, or it is not a G2 patch, or it is a file of a newer version than the OS in your synth is.

You can open the file in a text editor, but only the file header is readable text. It should look like :

Code:
Version=Nord Modular G2 File Format 1
Type=Patch
Version=23
Info=BUILD 266


In the help/about screen of the G2 editor you can see the version of the editor which is the same version as the OS in your synth.

i've got the latest version of the G2 and i load the patch in the G2 section of this site.The last time i can't open a file is on the site of ivity who post some patches on this site.

It is not a patch file, the contents of the file are :

No idea where this comes from though, not even if it was caused by electro-music, or by the sender or whoverer ...
