Hi everyone - any practical reference manuals or links that would help a developing patch creator to convert analog circuitry charts to practical patches in G2 or Reaktor?

I know, I know - the answer is "get a basic electronics manual and figure it out". However, if anyone has found any particularly good references for the musically inclined, that would be great.
Thanks.

I had the same idea, but every time I ended up thinking that it's useless for me to clone something in Max I already have in the G2. Instead I use Max for things beyond the G2's capabilities (e.g. sequencing or data storage) and then integrate both via MIDI.

best

I can definitely see why I would want to clone something from the G2 into Max/MSP.. For one thing I only have one G2.. and when it comes to polyphony and extra cpu max has the edge.

I won't be holding my breath though Smile

I thought I remember a while ago, some project that was looking to emulate all the nord modular modules on Pd. The original nord, anyway. Can't seem to find it now, and I know we're talking about the G2 here, but seems like something you'd need for an idea like this. The project wasn't based here at e-m.com, but *somewhere out there*.

Sort of on a similar note...

I literally JUST starting using Max (about a week and a half ago..).

I plan on using it more for sequencing and sampling (things the G2 doesn't do well).. however, i had a similar idea...

I EVENTUALLY plan on creating a set of modular Max objects, based almost solely on the G2 modules...

That's not exactly the same thing, but I would imagine it would be an integral step...

If anyone has resources on this, or would like to give me a hand (though like I said, it is a long ways away since I don't really know Max well...), please let me know...

I've been using Max about a year and would like to help. I'm sure we can learn from one another. Also, look here for someone else's idea of Max 'modules':

I've built a few sprite driven pattern sequencers (level sequencer with patterns).

Currenlty, my system (hp pavillion centrino duo) keeps giving me the BSD (blue screen of death) most of the time I launch Max/Msp Sad

So no Max until this is fixed ....
