Is this normal (I am a new user of a modular G2)? My korg z1 has much more volume. By the way I use outa and outb. I donot have plugs in the other two outputs.
I have to turn up the volume key to its max, Idem ditto with the volume key of the mixer.

Yes, it has a low output volume, but there's another discussion about that somewhere... use the search function.

Conclusion of that previous post was:

1) You can turn up the levels in individual patches - they're normally preset at -7
2) Lots of people saying 'it's not quiet at all'

I agree with you - I find my G2 keyboard irritatingly quiet in the setup I use. And while I'm bitching, why doesn't a £1300+ keyboard have professional balanced outputs?

and why don't more keyboards in this price range have digital outs? is that just a workstation feature??

on topic: if a patch is too quiet, I simply turn up all patch volume, hardware master volume and boost the output module by 6 dB. it usually requires a bit of a trim after that.

Something for Clavia to take notice of. Hope they read about this kind of "problems".
