Just installed the "ancient" OS X driver for the EMI 2|6 in my MacBook Pro and the device works just fine. Shocked
How's this possible?
Is Rosetta making it work?
What's the use of dedicated drivers then?

Hmm.. did you try the device without the drivers? It is possible that OS X already has drivers installed for this one.

I did and it didn't work.
Then I thought I should give the driver a try and installed it.
