I'd really like to be a part of an event such as this. It seems to be quite a meeting of the minds! I was involved with something similar in Augsburg, Germany known as Lab.30 Electroconference back in 2005. I'll send an email along today...

Sorry to say I can't make it back this year. I enjoyed meeting everyone very much, and hearing everyone play was an education. I'm sure it will only be better in 2007.

I'd be happy to participate online from California, if that would support anyone who does make it. If such an offer is helpful to anyone, just drop me a line.

Best,

Robert Edgar

The deadline for submissions is now officially closed.
Anyone applying from now on will be put on the waiting list.
Although the schedule is full, there are always a few cancellations, so people on the waiting list have a decent chance to get in eventually.

I intended to come last year, but it just didn't coincide with my schedule. There was a lot of cool stuff happening, as is plain to see in the event picture galleries.

I only have one very sexist question: were there any girls present at this thing?

If there are any girls this time, I hope to pick them up by bringing my MachineDrum, Monomachine and wearing my Sean Booth mask.

Don't know where to post this. But it would be awesome to attend. Anyone in or around Columbus OH going and would have any room for someone. I'll chip in on gas and hotel.

Is anyone bringing gear to jam with? I know there's plenty of folks coming to hear, experience and attend as well as those slated to perform. What about those of you that would like to jam and do something progressive?

I'm thinking might be kind of cool to bring some of the following to some open jam sessions:

Portastudio
Line or Mic input

Each persons instrument whether computer or otherwise

Thoughts?

Bring all the gear you want. We have mixers and PAs reserved for the upstairs studio.

There will be t-shirts, but don't expect to see them until after the event (unless you go).
The sampler CD has been finished and is being duplicated. I don't know when it will be listed here in the store.

I guess Howard could bring a few CDs and t-shirts to the European event Idea and I already reserve one each for myself Wink

Hi all --

While I won't be able to make all of e-m.com 2007, looks like I will be able to drive up from Washington DC Saturday morning, and go back Sunday night.

It isn't clear to me from the forums if there's anything I need to do to register, other than buy day passes for the time I want to be there... or is that it?

I didn't sign up to present anything -- this is my first time and I feel more like kicking back and meeting people -- but I think I'll bring my computer and MIDI controller in case there's room for me in one of the jams. Sounds like a good place to break out my live granulator...

Mostly I would like to network with folks on the East Coast, since I'm pretty isolated here in the suburbs of DC.

Looking forward to it! Let me know what I need to do in addition to getting tickets... and thanks to Howard and everyone else for organizing!

James

It's in the store now, and it's a pleasure to listen to (and to look at as well).

Edit: I could have quoted a bit more, the sampler CD I meant.
