OK, we are going to be doing the 2nd NYE party in a few days. A couple of folks have said they will be doing webcam streaming.

How about a discussion here by people who know about how to do it. Maybe if it isn't too difficult, more people can do it for NYE and we can set it up as a more-or-less regular (irregular) feature of the site.

Well, my webcam is stills only. I don't really have bandwidth to stream full motion unless it's like the way we do the sound.

I use Conquercam as a "web server" for still images. It keeps the bandwidth requirements reasonably low. I only have nominal 768k upstream. Most full motion video is going to take up 256k at least per stream, and the audio component for that is only 64k.

Anyway, my cam will be on, it's in my sig.
