Are there any good sources, websites or books, of analog modular patches and ideas?

Like Scotts old site or similar. But more than one Wink

All I can find when googling is 'presets' and patch databases for digital synths... Rolling Eyes

If you can get Gordon Reid (from SOS fame)'s series on modular synthesis- that was very good- if I remember. I do however recommend getting a Nord Micromodular and getting hold of the entire back catalogue of patches for it. Check out Chet Singer's patches for one- they were quite mental Wink

I've read some SOS articles, but they seem very general.

Perhaps I'll download the StudioFactory again Smile

Whether or not you own a particular model, patching techniques are much the same. Bearing in mind filter differences and envelope differences, it's still something you can (should be able to) work out.

Yes, some of the patches looks interesting, and I'm going to test them.

However, I was thinking of the frequency responce difference, Hz/V of the Korg and 1V/Oct in my system. I also don't know what kind of gate/trigger MS series uses... Confused

The doepfer site also contains some basic patches, but I already know of the operation of most of them... http://www.doepfer.de/a100_man/a100_patch.htm

Well, following the link from the 'korganalogue.net' to the 'Analogue Heaven' page and searching for 'patching' got me quite a good result:

http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~clark/nordmodularbook/nm_book_toc.html
http://guitarfool.com/ARP2600.html

Yes, I think the 2600 manual is one of the best patch manuals going. There is, somewhere, an Odessey manual.

Thanks for bringing that site to my attention again. I do own an MS-20, and the tips listed on top are new since I last visited. Good info, nice to experiment with!

Thanks everyone! Very Happy

I've got some really good sources now.

I've also decided to save my own patches and post them here, possibly in the MFOS subforum since my modular is all MFOS.

PostPosted: Thu May 22, 2008 11:36 am    Post subject: Patching EG:s Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Hi, I would like to know the uses of EG:s. Can an EG make an envelope without the use of a keyboard? if I want a sequencer to start an envelope instead of a keyboard, how do I patch that? can an LFO start an EG? I have not been able to do that so therefore I ask. I thought I should clear that out by my self, but no. Mad

Thankful for all help

I have tried that but the EG is stone dead. I´m new to modulars so please explain the whole chain including vco. The examples I´ve seen with EG:s usually includes a keyboard.
