:::dear no[e]rds
This may sound retarded to all of the modular pros out there, but I can't seem to write any functions using the MIDI modules that will control synths loaded into other slots. Can this be done? Is there a setting I am over looking?
I have the G2 rack and I was trying to write a patch where I assign the 8 CC's on my MIDI foot controller to notes. This way I could play a synth monophonically with my feet while I play guitar. Like Roland's old midi footcontroller...you know...the grey one. Anyway, any pearls of wisdom would be appriciated. Thanks.

Yes, you can do this.
Why don't you post the patch that you think should work but doesn't?

BTW this thread should be under "discussion", it's not really a FAQ.

Thanks:::
OK...I'll post it tomarrow. Ya, I was on the fence about where I should post this. I thought "FAQ" was more for common and/or stupid questions. The "Discusion Board" seems to be more for in-depth synthesis topics. Next time I'll just jump into the deep end.

I think the FAQ is for questions that have already been answered, if they're deemed to be of general interest.

You can certanly control three other slots from a slot. I do it all the time and several noodle performances posted here use this technique. All of the MIDI send modules have provision for specifying slots A thru D.
