Well, I finally decided what to do with this "Own Your Tone" guitar kit that we were working on a while back. I've put instructions and parts ordering information for the kit on a web page which is currently located here:

http://echuck.othomann.de/eChucK/Guitar_Kit.html

What I decided to do was provide all the suppliers and parts numbers that are unique to the kit, specifically the transformer and the magnets, instead of selling kits. I only ask if you build a kit and you're happy with it, send me $10 via paypal to help out with all the time and expense of developing the kit. This is all explained on the web page.

As far as transformer vs opamp circuit goes, I have not had time or resources to develop a board for that, so the kit remains transformer-based at this time. I hope to get around to developing an opamp for it eventually, and I would be happy to help someone who would like to develop such a product.

Well, that's the state of things as they stand now. It has been very rewarding to develop a unique pickup technology and I'm happy to have done it (with everyone's help of course).

Les
