Thought id just give a brief review of the Glade Festival here in the UK. Its a new festival in its 2nd Year, the only Psy-Trance and Electronica gathering of its kind in England, you can check the details at www.gladefestival.com.

The lineup this year was out of this world including AFX, Squarepusher, Chris Clark, Carl Craig, Hallucinogen, Hexstatic, Luke Vibert, Plaid, The Orb . . . the quality of music heard was unreal!

The crowd capacity was increased from last year to 10,000, still small enough to feel very intimate. The entire event remaned hot and sunny, perfet outdoor festival weather! As usual with psy-trance crowds the mood was incredibly chilled, no trouble anywhere, and big gleaming smiles for the entire event - definatly worth fighting for a ticket next year!

Also as a note Autechre are set to headline the 2nd ATP Easy to Swallow night 17/09/05 in Koko in Camden, London, its gona be a proper rave (!!) 11.30pm - 6.00am in a big old burlesque theatre - if autechre play anywhere near as well as in their tour this year it will surely kick off!! Check out http://www.atpfestival.com/

Thanks for the report, Nick. Sounds like it was a great event.

10000 people - intimate? Laughing

Moving this to reviews...

Ha, the intimate comparison is made to Glastonbury Festival (250,000!!!) which this year felt slightly too overwhelming . . . nice to be able to have space around you when your dancing!
