I found a way to do polyfonic unison with the g2. But i have a problem...

If you press a key on the g2 it just plays 1 voice. to make the polyfonic unison work the same key has to be pressed multiple times at once. I bypassed this by adding half the amount of midi tracks as voices used to get polyfonic unison in Cubase and then i played all those midi tracks at once. And then it worked.... The Voice.no through the pitch interacts as it should and the panspread too.

But then this is not the way it should. I know its possible now! but....

Does anyone know how to let the g2 trigger itself more than once without using multiple midi tracks in cubase?

if so then i can post the Polyfonic unison Patch Smile

Here i have an audio example. i just recorded some improvising not on any precise timing.

i hope this is possible without any external resources. maybe my aproach is not the right one but it does sound as it should. And maybe there is another way to achieve this.

The patch is 32 voices with an Expanded G2. there are still some bugs in the patch. If you dont have epansion just remove some modules in the VA section.
remember you need to add 16 midi channels wich trigger the same channel and output at once for 2 voice polyfonic unison. If you reduce the amount of midi channels the more voices you can play but the lower the unison voices gets.

If you turn it into a performance placing your poly machine on slot B and then place a note zone in the VA area of slot A set to send note data to slot B it should work. You adjust how many notes get played by each key press by setting the poly count on Slot A:

E. g. see attached for 3 layers per key:

You get some weird issues if your patch (slot B) doesn't have exactly 4,8,16 or 32 poly as, it causes the Slot A to only work on certain note settings.. not quite sure why... might just be being thick though.

http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-31184.html

i've made a pretty stable version. but the main issue is the more voices you can play the sound will change (detune change) each note press according to how many keys you can press at the same time.

This version has camouflaged the bugs a little, i hope any of you can help me control those voices properly as it should. You will notice the problem when using heavy detunes and in some cases with not too much detune.

Help would be greatly appreciated Wink
