A G2 Midi Control Automate patch made for the Elektron Machinedrum.
With this patch you can use the patch mutator on your MD,
a great and easy way to make mutations of existing Machinedrum kits!
(this is so much fun! Smile )

(your MD has to be set at midi channel 10-11-12&13 to make this work
otherwise you have to change the 240 cc's in this patch)

enjoy!

For those of us that don't have a MD, can you post an mp3 or two?

Pardon my bloody language, but what a great fucking idea! (using the mutator to control some other gear).

I'm already thinking of a port for some of my other gear, like an Alesis DMPro, or maybe my CZ-1000. I wonder how much havoc this would play with assignment to an Ableton Live set? Smile Smile

Sure I can, here's an MP3.
In this example slot A contains the MD mutator and slot B the MD sequencer.
The first 15 seconds is the original kit with a pattern generated by the mutator (started from an empty pattern)
All the stuff after 15 seconds are bits & pieces of mutations from the original kit and pattern.

enjoy

I know this is a super old thread..I was digging Smile I'm wondering where that zippy/fast bouncing ball sound is coming from that is present through most of the live morph mp3...Is that a feature of the machinedrum or the g2? It sounds like something getting retriggered really fast with some kinda of random amplitude/pitch envelope but I can't really figure it out. I've been trying to create something like that for ages in max...

Hi gotasci!

I guess you're talking about the first mp3?
These are samples with a modulated retrigger time.
It's easy to do that the MD, but a G2 should be able to do something similar as well.

This is slightly modified version of Mother Misty's MD mutator.
My patch controls only 8 first tracks, but it works with standard MD channel settings (1-4) and also includes most important (IMHO of course) effects and routing parameters.
BTW: If you want to control other 8 tracks - just copy this patch to another slot and change MIDI-chanels to 3 in VA and to 4 in FX Very Happy

recently got a MD/UWmkII and just loaded up this patch. nice!

for some reason though, it has no effect on Tracks 2,3,4,6,7, and 8. ??? i can manually move the knobs in the Editor and the changes are reflected on the MD, but when using the Mutator it does nothing to the parameters. the knobs in the Editor change, but no response from the MD. all other tracks work as they should. it's set to MIDI channels 10-13, just as it should be. any ideas?

Misty - your email (as listed in the patch) seems to be defunct? hopefully you'll see this...
