Actually, Bill, I think it was you who first turned me on to it. I think Jason might have helped with the decision, but yeah, you're to blame. :p

And a good recommendation it has been too. Excellent soft synthesizer, albeit hard on memory and CPU too.

Please note the new schedule.

This show will now be done live every two weeks (1st and 3rd week of the month) and on Fridays still but moved to 23:00GMT. Check our schedule on the radio page or the front page of electro-music.com please.

I think we might play reruns on the off nights, if there is popular interest. I just need to take some breaks to keep things moving along. It's been a real growing experience for me over the past 36 shows, and I want to keep growing.

Show 37. Ballad stylee. Well, sorta anyway.

I had an idea in my head, it was actually taken from an earlier Ephemera, but I totally did it over and slowed it way down. Got some pretty nice textures and a few good keyboard solos. I'm pleased, and I hope you are too.

at 11pm yesterday it was Paul's other show, Edison's Electronic Review

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-38184.html

around that time Paul played tracks by epicyclus, delicate monster and kurt michaels

Show 38. Late Winter.

First Ephemera with the EWI on board. Also the usual rest of the stuff, I think this was a very good show, both to play and to listen to.

Listened to show 38 live last night. As usual, good stuff! My girlfriend likes it, too. Apparently so does one of our cats, Tori. He keeps walking up to the sound system and crawling into the cabinets while it's playing. We'd let him hang out on the equipment, but he has an unfortunate taste for plastic and wires, so we have to shoo him off. I picked him up once and held him up to one of the tweeters. He had this "ooh, looky" expression while he stared at the speaker and moved his head around.

So your show has a reach beyond humanity!

Maybe your cat is looking for the birds. Wink

Thank you for the kind words though. I liked what I did more than usual. I need to condense down a bunch of these to some short excerpts. I don't know when I'm going to be able to do that with nearly 80 hours of music now.

Heh, 80 hours... It boggles the mind that you've managed to pull off all these shows, creating that body of work over less than a year. It's hard to find something to compare with really, besides other people doing similar regular shows here (which I unfortunately mostly miss, weekends being the time when I kick back and listen to the live streams). Kudos to you, sir! salut

/Stefan

Show 40. 5th March 2010. In two more shows, it'll be a year of these.

This came out pretty well considering the long ambient stretches. I spent prep time with both the Neuron and Omnisphere getting together some new patches, and also repatched the modular setup which I think worked pretty well. Also my EWI practice is paying off.

Show 41, 19th March 2010

This started as a review of my Rainmaker sets, but of course it ended up sounding as unique as any Ephemera show. I really enjoyed playing this.

Note that with the onset of summer (daylight savings) time, I am moving the show back one hour GMT, to keep it at the same local clock time (well, for places that sprung forward anyway). 9pm GMT is 10pm BST, or 5pm EDT.

This week's show is the first year anniversary (show 42, of course).

Show 42, the One Year Anniversary Show

If you listen to one show, listen to this one. A review of all of the year's Ephemeras, plus some bonus set at the end. Long but worth it. Smile

And thanks for all the kind words. Here's to the next year of Ephemera.

Show 43 - 23 April 2010

A year ago I dislocated my shoulder and played a show two nights later. This time I ripped apart the whole studio, rebuilt it and as my first systems test, did a show. Push limits, I guess. Well and I think I pushed a few this show.

Show 44 - 7 May 2010

Kind of a wild spring thing, which is what we're having for weather incidentally. Lots more experimenting, what an Ephemera is really like.
