After reading about the lack of clocked envelopes in another thread, I thought I'd give it a shot.

First I went the DIY low-level route, but it eat up too much mem% (always the biggest problem with this stuff), which renders it useless as a building block. So I did it by tricking a shape-LFO in clock mode. This means that you don't set the actual times of attack and decay/release stages, but rather their ratio, while the total time equals 1/2 of the Clk-setting of the LFO. So when you speed up or slow down the MIDI clock, the envelope times will adjust accordingly.

I've included three types: AR, ASR and a true ADSR (although decay and release share the same rate, like the minimoog and other dinosaurs).

These are linear envelopes, using the "saw>tri" LFO shape. You can get another response by using the "sine" shape. All others don't work.

The envelopes have a very minor quirk in that they do not close completely at high clock rates combined with ultra-fast release/decay ratio settings. But as mentioned, this only pertains to the ratio setting. If you simply have high clock rates per se, it is't a problem at all. One could even patch this quirk away, but I left it as basic and economical as possible. Another "quirk" is that the sustain setting of 64 (the Level add module) makes the sustain stage disappear. Again, can easily be patched away if needed. I left it out. Economy is king. Smile

The patch is documented with tab modules.

I patched this on the demo. Hope it works on the HW.

Enjoy. Smile
