I'm happy to report that our beloved G2 is compatible with the newest Micro$oft OS using the USB driver 3.02 from Clavia. This driver can be downloaded from any of the newer Clavia synths page. Smile

I am running the G2 Ed on a Win 10 on a Fujitsu Q550 tablet so I can use the touch controls. I did this after seeing some one on Youtube use it on a Surface Pro.
my main question is - how did he managed to get sounds from a patch WITHOUT connecting it to a NORD Hardware unit.

Is it possible to get sounds from a patch in the Editor without NORD hardware?

I wonder how he did it.

Yes, G2 works perfectly with 3.02 driver in Windows 10. I can continue to put off stepping into modular hardware.

I had mine running fine on Win8.1 64-bit, but am getting a VC++ Runtime Library error when I try to run the editor under Win10 now.

I've scoured the web and seen no hints as to what this error is caused by. It was happening as well (same error) with the G1 editor, but then that mysteriously started working....

Any suggestions? Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

UPDATE: for some utterly bizarre and illogical reason, the NM G2 Editor version 1.62 only runs when Compatibility Mode is set to Win95 on the executable (or shortcut), on my Windows 10 64-bit system, at least.
