midi cc data learn and midi for engine users

I would like to see a midi cc control learn in the new software version just like you can in reaktor. (right click mouse select learn turn a knob on a extern midi controller and the dedicated knob reacts on it)
And also somwhere in a menu an option to select another midi device/ch. so i can use an extern keyboard without having to use an extra sequencer (cubase, logic etc.)
This al would be verry handy and quick for live use and programming on mine (and others i think) engine. Please

This is a great suggestion... Many programs have this feature. I think it's very useful.

I do not quite understand how this suggestion is different from the current implementation in the NM editor.

I'll explain how it currently works, if you had something else in mind please say so.

Currently I can send MIDI CC messages from an external device to the G2 and then right click on a knob to assign the last changed MIDI controller to that knob.

There is even a keyboard shortcut for this function I think, but I'm temporary without G2's and so can't check it.

This mechanism does not work however for internally generated MIDI CC messages (it did in some beta but apparently (regrettably IMO) it was thought to be too confusing). So it only works for CC messages coming in from the outside world.

You could not have learned this from the manual though as it's a 1.2 feature for which to my knowledge no manual is availble yet.
