Just published a new G2 workshop on rolling your own filters. It's at:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~rhordijk/G2Pages/index.htm under the link Workshops and tutorials
Have fun!

Haven't got time to read this quite yet, but it is a necessity. It is really great and useful that you write these. (A good bulk of the NM community is in your debt!) |

This is great material, but there are some link problems. If I go to this page:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~rhordijk
and click on any of the links, I get a message similar to this:
Not Found
The requested URL /~rhordijk/G2Pages\SwitchesAndMultiplexers.htm was not found on this server.
I'm using FireFix as my browser now; it may be that it's less tolerant of the backslash than IE is.
Again.. great tutorials!! |

Rob, this is a great tutorial. I never did know how resonance worked.
Are there patches linked to the pictures? I'd like to load this stuff into my G2, but my browser can't find them. |

Sorry, there are no patches yet. I'm working on a set that I hope can be published in two to three weeks time. Plus some edits to the text.
And people, please check out Chet's excellent physical modelling G2 workshops at http://members.localnet.com/~singer99/G2-Tutorial/Introduction.htm. |

Oh, Chet is THAT Chet.
That tutorial and your PM patches are fabulous. I recommend everyone check out the tutorial even if you don't have a G2. _________________ --Howard

Rob, I've been experimenting with these patches, and it's great! I've been playing with detuning the poles, and I like the sounds I can get. Thanks for posting this stuff! |
