hello!
new to the board and wasn't sure just were to post this. anyways, i'm planning to start work on a modular synth after some successful MFOS builds. i used a pre-built +/-12 volt power supply from futurlec for my first module, the noise cornucopia. the modular i'm planning to build will be mostly MFOS modules, but i also wanted to flexibility of adding some stuff from other sites, such as the bride chamber and cat girl synth. these two (as far as i can tell) both use +/- 15 power supplies. i was thinking about possibly build one using the MFOS design, but before doing that wanted to check and see if it would be possible to just use the +/-12 supply i have. i'm basing this loosely on the fact that MFOS designs can use either, though i realize that some modules require some alteration for +/- 15 volt. i'm hoping someone with more experience and knowledge can help me with this one. thanks!

Hi SOTS -
Nice to have you here....

For what it's worth, I have a mixture of modules - Lots of MFOS & CGS a few from Ian Fritz, and various others from schematics I found around...

I've been running +- 12 Volts on all of it with no issues....
There may be some you will have to make some changes - but many of them just have changes if a few values to change voltages - many of them will work just fine on either...

good luck

bruce
