I'll try again later. Impressive track, actually. Definitely the 2nd half is great once you get off your ass developing the idea at the start. It started too slow and ended too fast.

But I liked it.

Thanks for the critique. It ends at 3 minutes because one of the contest rules was 3 minutes or less....so I made the most of it! Smile

Well it explains the abrupt ending. If I was constrained by a time limit on the length of the piece, I'd work to make sure that the piece didn't dally anywhere. A well-sequenced 2.5 minutes is better than a rushed out 3.

Just my 2p. But I liked the piece. That's all instances of the same instrument? Whew.

I wanted to do a piece that didn't sound like a bunch of loops put together that you hear so often done for these contests. I wanted evolving gilitchy parts that Bjork might sing over at the beginning that move into a theme that moves into a dance part that's provocative but doesn't bore because it's just repeated. This was intentional because there's no vocal...it's just groove. I don't like to hear a lot of repeated stuff in my songs and my sound design in them, maybe because I'm a Gemini and I get bored easily. Rolling Eyes

Plus I'm very particular about what sounds I use so what ends up in the song is what I don't hate after repeated listenings over days producing it.

For some reason that forum takes a while to get a reistration key out to people who want to join. I had to email the moderator after a few days to get a key email sent. Rolling Eyes

Nice track. Great variety of sounds! At one point the music sounded like it was going to go into something aleatoric however it managed to hang on to the beat and keep going.
