so er .. TRI VIA LIS ATI ON

"Noodle radio" was stolen from me - see https://www.qwant.com/?l=en&q=noodle+radio+-noods&t=web and trivialised, i've ended my noodle radio experiments - it makes no sense anymore.

when i started on "noodle radio" there would be no search engine hitties for it - that was a reason to choose it - I have lost.

Likewise, "blue hell" - TRI VIA ALI SED -- that is following the 3rd road, which goes into nothing, crosses the styx and then all road signs seem to be missing. GAM IFI ED

3rd roads go no where .. dead ends .. on the cross roads it is .. ow .. left ... never mind.

The other experiment was PLOTTIX - another one search engines could do nothing with .. it is a word now it seems .. and as such was my intention, the .. when i came up with it .. this is not bad actually - except no one got it .. of course Laughing

Anyway, I did not feel like making more of the modular synthesizer noodles i had been making, for a couple of decades now, proper noodles for the noodle radio - so eh .. noodle radio is dead .. just as plottix is dead, of course, and blue hell is dead .. but those are other matterz.

I had wanted to change blue hell here .. except that the e-m forum does not allow me to do that Cool the bastard .. behaving like ai ai ai .. what a waste.

I need new words goddammit Cool

o .. i do have a luftbalon account here .. yes .. with that speling eror .. maybe i should go use Evil or Very Mad it

---

on the good side .. i've got me a couple of new puters .. most of the of stuff works again streaming and browsing and i even have a fresh 4th system .. not that it can do that much .. but erm "1 1 + ." .. works Smile

I need some new tools goddammit Shocked

so 'm looking into vcv, dunno, i do not want that, emulate a rack based modular .. are they nuts .. Shocked looking into golang .. dunno .. why is that horse on the wrong side of the cart .. swift then .. yeah well seem a bit appely .. webasm then maybe .. pff

anyway, radio 6 here is down, noodle radio has ended, thank you for your attention, and i have no good idea yet as to how to waste my time now.

Sorry for the spelingz .. amming a tad dunky drunky .. butteh okay otherwise.

oh and eh .. while all that .. god bless tru please .. and trum .. the .. erm the erm the erm the .. damn .. do i ever want to ever visit the :de je naait me steeds van amerika:

o well blame it and praise it and die.

Hmm I noticed it was down earlier today. Not sure I understand the reason properly, I'll have to decipher your post. Laughing

Anyway, onwards towards other stuff I guess - change is good sometimes, even if it takes a bit of time to be the good kind.

Hey Rob Smile

Summary : I did not anymore feel like making new and or evolving old patches .. the last ones had been on for months .. at least one .. almost one then.

and yes .. I'll see .. when how what if. Something still is @ bluehell.nl .. mainly to help me fall asleep.

For someone with a brilliant plan I'll turn on electro-music.com radio 6 again.

Your post about this is poetic and sad. For years I have put my foot in the water to make generative music, noodles, using many different platforms. At one point I evern wrote my own language for the purpose. I've given up becuase the results were never musical enough for me.

In discussions with people, off-line and in person, the subject sometimes comes up. It's nearly impossible to come accross someone who admits to enjoying listening to GM, but many people love to make it. We can speculate about why that is.

Anyway, your noodles are, IMHO, unique; they are musical. I think you are the master of this medium. I don't say "a" master on purpose. When I encounter a skeptic about GM, I point them to Noodle Radio, Channel 6 here on e-m. I say, "Listen to Noodle Radio and reconsider".

Your noodles are one of the most significant parts of this community. I consider you a superb musician. I hate to see the channel not being there. There is a hole in my heart.

I understand you're not interested on working on these noodles anymore. I'm similarly feeling a need for an artistic change of direction.

As for the musical theives, this involves all of us. Something to discuss going forward. But, let's indeed do go forward...

ah, something non-automatic .. maybe .. got some suggestions like that while in Ireland too (from a nasturaly talented multi musician .. when i told him about what i had been playing for a bit in the past & what i did recently Smile

Anyway, it looks like a nice thing, based on the hydra synth for which some people are really enthousiastic.

It seems to not be deliverable currently .. or not yet .. which will give me some time Cool

Edit: and also :: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBnY7m7q3HU&list=PLGrmUFYLmS3-dkcUNiULUTpronYk6EQah

edit2 : but :: although there are a few nice things .. it is all not very inspirational what I see .. so dunno .. will i spend like almost 1500 .. or dust off the wx11 and make some mudular contraptions .. the samples .. hmm cool .. but seem not so convincing .. otoh .. can do your own it seems.

I have the Hydrasynth desktop and I like it a lot, although the LFO's are a bit sluggish at audio rates. This might not be the case with their new Dio thing but something to keep in mind.

Although if you have a good wind controller already then it might not be that needed...

Generative music gets the same attention as the likes of Eno's Music For Airports, it's just there in the background for most who are exposed to it. Much like soundscapes, etc, there's little intellectual or emotional attachment for either the listener or "composer," for a work- although AI might get around that- if it hasn't already. Not that I will be listening to it.

As a musician, being emotionally disconnected from your art is a non-starter. GM seems like a sure-fire way to make that happen.

Thumbs up for the Hydrasynth.

Meanwhile .. the thing i'm listening to mostly is :

https://zovietfrance.podbean.com/

it will almost always be music i had never heard (of) before, and then from time to time i'll hear something for which i'll want to hear more .. often it will then be available on bandcamp or youtube .. for more listening pleasure .. sometimes for more and more and .. erm more Shocked .

But if not of the 'for which' kind .. i've had to fast forward an episode once ... as it interfered with my car sounds in a nastily disturbing way .. it would have worked at home I guess Smile

Not that this solves my music making block, but it /is/ great for solving my .. listening .. block Smile

I have most episodes available as my car music, and will from time to time take a picture like attached .. to then look it up at home Cool

[in the car I'm at 2018 .. at home listening to A Duck in a Tree 2025-12-06 | Stretch and Release - i may finish it all Evil or Very Mad once]

Anyway .. what i currently love Exclamation

Jan,

I completely understand your frustration with what the search engines are doing. If I looked up my own name or projects and saw them buried under anime memes, football rosters, or random internet noise, I’d be furious too. It’s not just “annoying” — it’s a fundamental disconnect between the work someone has actually done and the nonsense that ends up taking its place.

So I get why you’d look at that and think, “Why am I even bothering?”
That reaction makes perfect sense.

And I want to thank you — sincerely — for everything you’ve done to keep the electro-music.com community alive, and for making Wren available to all of us. Your work has made a real difference, both for me personally and for the community as a whole.
