Calendar Event: December 31, 2025 đ Join Us for the 2025 New Year's Eve Electro-Music Equinox Streaming Event! đ
Hey everyone â itâs that time again! The New Year is almost here, and with it comes another electro-music.com streaming event. Letâs come together once more to share music, ideas, and creativity with friends across the globe.
Mark Your Calendars:
Date: Wednesday, December 31, 2025
Time: Starting around 15:00 GMT and continuing until the music stops or the roster runs out (whichever comes first!)
đ The schedule will be posted in the wiki, and you can check out threads from past events for inspiration and reference.
Why Join In?
đ¶ Share Your Sound: Whether polished or experimental, your music deserves to be heard.
đŹ Explore & Experiment: Try a new patch, show off a new setup, or just improvise and see where it goes. Live performance is where the unexpected magic often happens.
đ Connect with Others: Meet fellow artists, trade ideas, and discover new friends in the community.
đ Celebrate the Season: What better way to honor the Equinox than filling it with live, real-time music?
How to Sign Up:
Just copy/paste the template below into this thread with your details.
Preferred Start Time (GMT, please)
Set Length (30 or 60 minutes)
Artist Name (for the poster)
Chat Name (if different)
Location (optional)
Description (style/gear/etc., optional)
Website link (optional)
Anything else youâd like to share (your approach, why youâre participating, etc.)
A Note to All Performers
Whether youâre a longtime regular, a first-time participant, or someone who hasnât played with us in a while, youâre warmly invited back. Dust off your gear, fire up your DAW, create some patches, and come be part of a truly international celebration of sound.
Letâs make the 2025 Equinox Event one to remember. See you on September 20th!
For reference, this clock could be useful:
First Time Streamers Please Read:
Please review the Electro Music Copyright Policy
Please note: "Preferred Start Time". We will do the best that we can to accommodate people to their requested times. However, please be flexible because this event will have European and American musicians in many different time zones. Time slots will be on a semi-"first come-first served" basis. Furthermore, please post your time in GMT. The handy clock should make it simple. However, we do use military/24 hour time. It will undoubtedly be an international event and GMT is the only way to coordinate such events.
As in the past, the chat room will serve as an invaluable communication tool for set up, streaming, and connecting to those listening....and it's just a lot of silly fun! I suggest participants get familiar with it in advance, if you aren't already.
If you want a recording of your set, it would be prudent to record your own set, rather than depend on others. Accidents and mistakes happen...especially in this format. There are many ways to record your set, either thru the stream app or record your stream from your mixer on the signal path to the computer.
Performers MUST stream at 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz , stereo.
more info about broadcasting on radio.electro-music.com can be found here.
It is IMPERATIVE that everyone test their connections before we start streaming. At least 24 hours before but sooner is preferred. Sorry, but we can not guarantee that musicians will be allowed to stream if you do not test 24 hours before hand. Not only does it delay the schedule, but causes unneeded stress on performer, server operator, and audience during performance time. Join the chat room for testing and help setting up. _________________ -- Kevin

I haven't decided if I will try to multi-task and perform and organize yet.
Look forward to a great event! _________________ -- Kevin

This performance continues an exploration of techniques Iâve been pursuing over the last five years, using my own DIY synthesizer modules along with the Klee and Aries sequencers, the CGS 1/nfinite melody generator, Wren, and other equipment. The focus is on discovering evolving textures and emergent melodic and dynamic elements within a sustained â at times ambient â soundscape. _________________ -- Kevin

I will not be doing a live thing, or a semi-live thing, this time .. instead I've started to do a bit of 'wave claying' again (since long ago, with reaper and acoustica as the current tools - it used to be cool edit) on a piece called '4' .. it will be 60 minutes long, and the first 30 can be split off when such would be better suitable - or such is the current idea
It was the forth take on something called 'green as grass', but just '4' will do; will have to do now .. as the poster is done
The raw material comes from some wren patches, a couple of songs [licensed to be useable for this], a couple of filed recordings & reaper's metroneme
oh, and it will be lame ambient sheep music, if it is music at all _________________ Jan
