Thanks for the kind words.

I don’t know about beautiful, but difficult it was, especially when you consider that the formatting of beams, dividing and tying notes at beats, etc. are done automatically by the CMeasure object’s format function based on the measure’s metric structure*. That is, essentially, you can drop into measures of any meter any list of notes or chords, and the notes will be reformatted to reflect (more or less) good notation practice. (a lot of things it doesn’t do well, yet, and a lot of things it doesn’t do at all, yet.)

*That includes the grouping of each individual measure. For example, 5/4 bars would be formatted differently depending on whether the beat grouping for a particular measure was 3, 2 or 2, 3 or 1, 2, 2 for that matter.

And Howard! Thanks for the encouragement to go party! WooHoo indeed!

I could get really positive about this but I fear that’s the kind of hubris that brings out mad, short circuit pointer bugs.

Ha ha... bugs will be bugs. I get around that by using these fast and easy interpreted languages that don't have no stinkin pointers. Laughing

Enjoy the quiet, In a few months the responces will be;

"why doesn't it support VSTi?" and "cubase has $weird_feature_you_don't_need. why doesn have this one?"

:¬p

No, I think it looks realy good, I hate that clutered look with hundereds of silly icons that everything needs to have these days. I don't get why it was decided that everything needs to be either white or dark-greyish blue either; this is much more pleasant.
