Different Skies |

Tomorrow, I'm off to Different Skies at Arcosanti in Arizona. A week long retreat for about 25 electronic musicians from many countries. I'm really looking forward to meeting and jamming with some excellent musicians. Several electro-music.com members will be there, including EGW, Bill Fox, Osto, and others. I've got my anti-scorpion and snakebite kits ready to go.
I will not be back until about Sept 20th. I hope to have some internet access, but I don't expect to be very active on the forum.
Please make new members feel welcome and, I encourage everyone to try to listen to as much of the online music as you can.
Our community and our music are improved when we support each other.
If we don't, who will? _________________ --Howard

Greg, Hong and I left for Phoenix from Philly very early this morning. The flite was very comfortable because I got an emergency exit seat. The drive to Arcosanti is about one hour. We rented a car.
This is a very cool place. Right nowk there are 20 musicians setting up on the stage of the ampitheater. I don't know what the music will be like, but it might be amazing. At any rate, I'm already having fun. Great to meet old friends and make new own. Osto is here. I've met him only on this forum. Also, Tony Gerber is here who I've met for the first time.
It's hot, but not too hot. I can't get my camera to interface with this funky old win98 IBMk Pentium II laptop. I'll upload a bunch when I get back.
Even though there is a pretty good wifi link, it is clear I won't have a great deal of time to get on the forum. I'll try mostly to watch this thread.
I think that we will be able to stream some audio from the Arcosanti servers. I'll post that information when I get it. _________________ --Howard
