I read that as meaning he's expecting a baby literally, as in a newly born human being of his own progeny. I could be wrong, though. |

The Clavia website now says that there will be a new Nord keyboard at NAMM. So we'll know in less than two weeks. |

I doubt it will get me interested. Most probably it is a NWave2 or an updated NStage. But if it against all odds is a G3 I will have to talk to my accountant... |

He sounds like he does!
Maybe Nord has finally grown up to Tim's previous offer of writing mind blowing presets free for them if the end up doing a G3?
It would be a laughable offer by most of us, but with him, i'd take that into consideration if i were a swedish manufacturer.
So i do remember such a thing! I hope it's happening!
Now with the Octatrack coming out, they really have to put down something serious on the table if they want to keep the Wave/possibly sample capable G3 family alive! Have serious competition!
just my cc70... |

Also don't forget that the Modular really was Clavia's flagship product- or at least it seemed that most of the passion was there with the G1 and G2. Right now Clavia have no modular on sale at all. G3? Perhaps
Last year Wout (Blommers) came to stay at my house in Birmingham. Wout told me that Hans may be considering retirement soon. If I were Clavia, and I wanted to go out with a bang, I'd release the most remarkable product ever, and that would have to be a Nord Modular Mk 3! But until Jan 13th..... We (you) can only wait in hope! _________________ ACHTUNG!

After they didn't fix the problems with the G2, are you really going to be gluttons for punishment and buy another Clavia product? _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

Blindly so
While it's true that there are some thingies with the G2 I love that synth enough to use it almost daily. _________________ Jan

I still have my Micromodular right here, in front of me after all these years. It's the only synth I still have and still use (well still use- there is a DX27 and a Jen SX1000 in the loft- but they are both knackered).
If I had the money, I'd still buy a Moog Modular- even if it only works with ONE note! _________________ ACHTUNG!

It has been 4 years ago since I bought my last Clavia synth, it's time for some more red in the studio
The red family (NR2, uMod, G2) need another member......G3
And I want it to have OSC support, loads of sample RAM and a SSD hard drive for sample storage, granular synthesis, a touchscreen, 16 audio in & outputs, 8 CV in and outputs, 2x ADAT, gigabit ethernet, loads of knobs and motorized faders, NO cooling fan, 8 slots, 10 x the power of the G2 and the sound of the G1.......sorry I'm just rambling, then it would probably cost $15000 _________________ www.granucon.com |

I'll be down at NAMM between Wednesday and Saturday next week. I've gotten in on the Media Preview for Wednesday, so I hope to find out real quick what Nord has up their sleeves.
Also just found out Sonic Core will be there as well. _________________ Jack Hertz.com | Aural Films |

...and i was wondering whatever happened to Tim and his amazing patches.
my fondest wish for a potential G3 (besides sampling capability) would be for Clavia to provide an SDK for it, so that 3rd parties could create their own modules and extend the system - similar to how Max/MSP works. |
