The exciting new B-CONTROL Series combines the unlimited versatility of today’s audio software with the feel of real controls. It lets you move real faders and turn real knobs to control all the virtual gear in Cubase®, Cakewalk®, Logic Audio® and other major audio software. It’s the intuitive way to control and create music with a real hands-on feel. The choice is yours—faders (BCF2000) or knobs (BCR2000). Tired of using a mouse? Want to control your synth, mixer, effects or signal processor with real controls? Pick the B-CONTROL that matches your “virtual hardware” or cascade them together for the ultimate workstation.
The BCF2000 is an innovative, hands-on control surface with ultra-precise 100-mm motorized faders for the ultimate control of virtual mixers, organ-drawbars, synths and samplers. You can make group moves that you can’t make with a mouse—and the faders are motorized for automated control!
The BCF2000 is USB compatible, features full MIDI In/Out/Thru capability and includes 8 endless rotary encoders, each with a 15-element LED indicator plus a push-to-set function, that let you select, adjust, set and control a myriad of functions. Assign a dedicated knob, fader or key to your most frequently used functions and make edits without touching the mouse. Tweak “front panel” settings by simply turning a knob or sliding a fader. It’s like having the real knobs and faders for every control on the screen! Best of all, discover just how awesome MIDI can be!
Simply connect your B-CONTROL to your computer via USB. Then assign and control MIDI/audio sequencers, software mixers or virtual synths/plug-ins with real knobs and faders—without using your mouse! You’ll spend less time clicking around and more time enjoying your music!
The BCA2000 is a high-speed USB 2.0 multi-channel audio MIDI control interface that raises your performance to a whole new level. Not only does it provide an intuitive control surface with 100-mm faders for audio/MIDI sequenzing, it also features a high-performance analog input section that has 2 state-of-the-art studio-grade IMP “Invisible” Mic Preamps with +48 V phantom power, plus line and Hi-Z guitar inputs. Combine this with its versatile digital input and output formats like ADAT®, ADAT® S/MUX, AES/EBU and S/PDIF (including DOLBY DIGITAL® and DTS® options) and you have an unlimited array of interfacing capabilities.
You can simultaneously use 3 analog input sources (1 mono + 1 stereo) with digital input sources. Its ultra-flexible input/output configuration is supported by a comprehensive LED audio routing indicator plus button (status) LEDs. Input signal distortion and A/D converter overload are prevented by the adjustable studio-grade analog input dynamic control (noisegate + limiter).
The BCA2000’s fully equipped USB/MIDI interface with 1 MIDI input and 2 MIDI outputs is individually selectable for 16/32 MIDI channels. Plus, full multi-channel playback is enabled at 24-bit/96 kHz. There is a high-resolution 2 x 12 element LED level indicator for stereo In/Out signals plus 2-element LED level indicator for input and output channels 3 through 8. The high-speed USB 2.0 interface with 24-bit/96 kHz supports 8 In & 8 Out channels simultaneously (analog and digital) with low-latency ASIO 2 and WDM drivers.
Simply connect your B-CONTROL to your computer via high-speed USB 2.0. Then connect your keyboard, guitar and mic. True audiophiles will surely appreciate the fully equipped master and monitor sections with 100-mm fader, individual level controls for 2 speakers, 2 phones and low-latency direct monitor function plus separate dim, mute and mono functions.

B-CONTROL ROTARY BCR2000
I'm gonna buy one of those. It says the price is US $189. That's sweet, IMHO. |

I just bought a BCR2000, and it's un-<swearword deleted>-believable.
For that amount (160-ish euro's) you can't find a better machine. It even looks sweet, great visibilty in that dark night-club due to the always on LEDs.
Total control of sent data. Push buttons (all 28+3x8 virtual) can be triggers, toggles, any type of MIDI message (NRPNs, SysEx, PC, CC).
And it's just pretty
Behringer will be releasing a edit-tool shortly, as well. Their software seems PC-only though, which might be a shame for Mac/*nix owners... but hey, all programming goes via SysEx anyway.

PS. go buy one! _________________ :wq |

So tell me. Does it have to always be connected to a USB and computer.? Can you program it up and then disconnect the USB to go "on the road"? It's sweet that it has MIDI IN/OUT/THRU connecters.
When I play live, I prefer to not have a computer in the setup. |

It's supposed to be able to be completely stand-alone.
You should in theory be able to set up all your stuff via SysEx (MIDI/USB) and switch to one of the standalone modes (=no USB). It has 32 presets for the entire box (all encoders/buttons/faders) which all can be overwritten.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could assign different MIDI-channels to different knobs, as well. My only MIDI controller was a Evolution keyboard, which didn't have this option.
Another nice feature is the lack of a wallwart for power supply, you just plug it straight into the AC.
Hey? No.... computer... in... the... setup? Blasphemer!

PS. If and when you buy one, be sure to upgrade the USB-drivers (windows-only) and the firmware for the box (again via SysEx).
PS2. Think I can get a discount with Behringer for shamelessly plugging them? _________________ :wq |

Allright one more reason for buying one:
if you have assigned some rotary encoder to a certain CC, and a button to trigger a single value on the same CC, when you turn the encoder the light on the button will light up, indicating that the CC is not at the same value as the value to be triggered. Great for instantly switching back to a 'known working' value. Pretty sweet!
