I was wondering how you guys were doing with your g2's patches. So that means you can post a preview or part of a track with a self created g2 sound wich you really like.
kickoff:
www.myspace.com/pulsecraft
6 tracks all sounds modular g2, drums are Mashine. mp3 format.

pretty nice stuff! i really liked the piano patch used on 'The Source', is that one of your own patches or can it be found here on the forum?
i just started a thread recently featuring some stuff that i've done on the G2, just a few posts down. definitely a ways away from what you're doing, more like "anti-music". actually, i just put up a live set from last year that i transferred from tape, i'll update that thread in a bit.
here's a tune that i did a couple years ago though using the G2 for synth parts and Ableton Live for drums/samples:
'My Time Is Yours'
my homage to the film 'THX-1138'... _________________ SoundCloud |

here is my latest set. it uses
1. g2 Left - which is my mixer, x0x fx, blofeld fx, voice/sample fx/looping, master clock, and master sequencer (for a x0xb0x and blofeld) with 2 groove patches
2. g2 right - which has additional sequencers for the x0xb0x or blofeld + sample sequencer (this g2 uses MIDI I/O only, no audio)
3. a modded x0xb0x
4. blofeld with 2 instruments - synth (interchangeable) and samples

Here is some stuff with lots of g1 and g2 in it:

Used Ableton and Protools for mixing. My buddy used some softsynths and softsamplers. _________________ Best,

Sry the piano in the track "The Source" is from the NI akkoustik piano, i've uploaded 4 tracks yesterday "Rhodes Waypoints" "Lost Places" "Rushing Moments" and "Monday Morning". I wish the g2 could make such sweet piano
i listened to your tune its pretty cool, im not really into that nord acid tone tough :p but sounds ok
Ill look at your topic soon! |

some sick stuff you have there! Aquaplanning has a nice movie feeling. Spring as well, in the mid part some very classical kind of mysterious sound and sick screams lol :p
I like your work a lot |

Sorry not had chance to listen to any of the examples above as I am at work at the moment. I do have a few new bits which are either all G2 or heavily G2 centric up on my virb page : www.virb.com/ipassenger
Recent Live jams:
"The Big Maths" is G2 and MDUW
"Squirk" & "Deeper Beast" are G2 only.
I have also added a couple of online colloborations between myself and Skeptical. These are both almost entirely G2, with only the occasional percussion ("Trinord") and the main beat ("Deep Roots") coming from elsewhere. These were actually started by sending G2 perf files back and forth to each other before tracking and arranging in Ableton (Me) and Reaper (Skeptical).[/url] _________________ iP (Ross)

The synth sounds on the Snowflake tracks on my virb page are all G2 (with drums from ESX-1 and some guitar).
http://virb.com/antimon
There's also a lot of G2 on the other tracks, and some noodle excerpts at the bottom.

Any of you who would like some of their music being played on the electro-music radio?
If so, please see : http://electro-music.com/forum/post-258120.html
To go back to the subject, some of my noodle stuff is here, mostly not so recent though ... mainly I've been making just one huge patch this year consisting of 12 patches in 3 G2s ... for the washing machine ... a lot of fun madness ... some of it was archived here. _________________ Jan

I'm happy to post my first comment on electro-music !
There are 2 kind of tracks :

http://www.myspace.com/mytaiko
I make an 11 tracks album called "Odd Holidays". Some tracks are on myspace (5 first track on playlist). Others tracks will be post on the future blog and album will be sale, too.
Live track (record this winter 2008 near Lyon - France) :
http://www.myspace.com/electrochenelette
A new live video will be post on myspace next week (with stable camera showing the live act)
My blog is almost finish (on line in a week). I'll post video (live act first and clip in the future) and work in progress tracks ...
Thanks for listening my tracks !

Love that outdoor live rig!
Listened through a couple of your tracks too - great party stuff. What do you use the G2 for?

Hi Antimon,
thank you !
I use my G2 for deep bass, acid lead, smooth synthetic cello, and more !
All my tracks have 2 to 4 G2 sound.
I sometimes use it to add compressor or reverb on my MAM MB MKII (a monophonic analogic synth, TB303 like) to make sound more dynamic.
I can tell you where I use it in some tracks if you want !
For the live, I use to have a QY700 to make live without laptop. But I discover the APC 40 from akai with live ... and it's very enormous to work with ! |

This track is made with the G2 as the center-piece. The other stuff used is Ultrabeat in Logic for drums as well as a Machinedrum (electron), a chicken shake and a guitar.
http://mush.niobar.se/nowheretobe.mp3
(it's a year old, but planned to be released on a EP with similar tunes with lots of G2 in October)
Hope you'll enjoy it! |
