this is a picture my wife found yesterday while searching for old pictures to show to our son Jarik. It was taken in Boston, MA in 1989, I think.
You can see yours truly with part of his music set up at the time.
I recognize the following items:
KAWAI MAV-8 midi patch bay
ROLAND D-110 synth module
YAMAHA TX802 synth module
YAMAHA TX81Z synth module
YAMAHA KX76 master keyboard
ELKA SYNTHEX synthesizer
YAMAHA MEP4 midi processor
BOSS BX16 mixer
ALESIS MIDIVERB digital effect

I suggest a memory lane sub-forum dedicated to music related pictures.
It should be fun Very Happy

I'm apparently the first one to vote. Should I wait for some more votes so we can do this democratically, or should I just declare the vote unanimous and put up the Memory Lane sub-forum?

Thanks for the great idea... Er, thank's for the suggestion which may or may not be great depending to the outcome of the poll.

<-------- I changed my pic a week or two ago to a shot of me from 1986. No - I'm not that skinny now.

Prophet 600 on top, Siel DK-600 directly in front of me.

Here it is a bit larger:

I believe this is 80 or 81. More old farts... I just went to my 40th high school reunion. Rolling Eyes

Behind is an ARP Avatar and a Little Brother. On the stand is my first stage keyboard rig: Moog Source, Roland JX-8P, Ensoniq Mirage, and the love of my life, Rhodes Chroma. I've still got everything, but the Mirage.

Nowdays, the G2 is my baby.

Before that rig, this was my main axe.

Actually,it's an MMT-8 sequencer, but they look so similar it's quite easy to mistake one for the other.(especially in a scanned photo) It was what I used for everything before i got into software sequencers.I'm always amazed at what I squeezed out of that minimal setup back then.Necessity is truly the mother of invention. There can be a serious drawback having lots of gear.
(But I certainly don't miss the smarmy error message:"Bummer dude, out of memory") Laughing
