Hi guys,

I've been listening with great intrest to the middle bit of this track, but i can't
define or find anything about it, except a vague lead to Jean Michel Jarre or
Vangelis, but that's a tad bit too old for me Smile

Could any of yous define this (without the crappy bass) :
clicky! 245kb sample

and could anyone link me to artists that compose this style ?

Been looking for this for over 2 months now, you're my best chance Wink

greetz Heavy.

Huh.. right.. sounds a bit like disco take on Vangelis sitting on top of JMJ.
Very Happy The track ends too soon doesn´t it?
If I remember correctly there were some euro disco in this style in the late 80.
In order to classify the track I guess we should need a fair amount of longer pieces. There is some 80s artist.. I cannot remember the name.. stardancer? no.. something like that who did this disco thingie.
If you remove the disco beat you might find some similar stuff here.. well.. not quite similar.. you could always try a damned old one.. followed my sig music link and have a go at A Scanner Darkly
Hmm.. is that a similar style? Not really.. at least it is vintage.. and you don´t want that..
Very Happy

A member here called Sawyer.. he might have something you like..
I guess some of the 80s TD and KS might be OK too. Mind you, I am not quite sure what you are hearing here. We might hear this music differntly.

edit;

This music is called "electro" or "disco" by those who make and those who enjoy it, it gets called by different name by other people and you can debate wether these names are correctly used here.

Go to any large, generally advertised electro or disco party, anywhere in europe, and you´ll be able to hear this style non-stop starting about halfway in the evening.

You may also be able to hear some of it on this web-radio station;

Currently there are many, many people jumping on the disco/electro hype that don´t understand any of it and churn out hour after hour of this (probably because previously they were jumping on the trance bandwagon).

Kassen. The guy likes this kind of music. He came here to get a pointer to where he can find more of it. There's no need to rag on the music. Everyone has different taste.

welcome DaHeaVYFo, with respect...

I wish I could help you, but I'm no knowledgeable enough.

ok.
perhaps some of the words used were coloured, but it was all factual to the letter. If you would have seen the development of the european elektro/disco scene over the past five years you would have agreed, i think.

The G2 sounds like this to me.
