This one relies on slowly evolving timbre changes rather than melodic progression. The feature sound is PM soft sync but applied to a modulated shape oscillator, also the modulator is modified with a wavewrap to give even further variation. Sometimes the harmonics seem to be playing a melody.
Minimal Trance or Hard Ambient, I’m not sure.

Incredible - what a great inspiring performance. I can't wait to play with it.
I just listened to the MP3 and hear all kinds of guitar leads and words to add to it.
Thanks ever so much for sharing it with us!

I am sorry for confusion, I made up ‘ambient lite’ as a joke. In NZ, a product that is low in fat or calories is called ‘lite’ (Pepsi lite), and ‘ambient light’ refers to background lighting so it was a not so funny play on words. If this is a real genre then I had no idea.

For the record, ‘Hard ambient’ is also a fabrication.

Hard ambient?
The thing is that i was in hungaria two times at szigetfestival, and there they play sort of the same music, and they called it "ambient lite".
They had lite, medeum, and hard.
Bud what ever the name is, i do not care i just want that music.
There was DJ hotel north pole.
www.eplanet.hu
The problem is when i want to know more about this, it is written in hungarian....similair to swahili... i cant read it. trying in amsterdam to find it for two years now, bud no deal.
Now i hear this, and it sounds a bit like it.
If you know more for me to find it would be nice, bud if you know some one who reads, and writes hungarian it would be cool to.
http://www.szigetfestival.com/
It sounds like african drums, bud then with computer fery simpel pushing rithms, cant sit stil when i hear them.

Perhaps someone else can help. I created this piece, but the coincidence with the title aside; I think it stylistically has more in common with minimalist trance or maybe minimalist techno.
But I’m not a genre expert, I thought Indie music was from Indiana, or maybe had something to do with Native Americans.
Shocked
