Since temperatures hardly rose above freezing yesterday, cleaning the car this morning was just about brushing off snow, not removing ice from windows.

I have learned my lesson. Years ago when the kids were little, we befriended a squirrel and named her Roberta. She became so tame that if we left the back door open she'd come into the house. It was hard to keep her out. One day we found her squished on the street and the kids were very upset.

Since then, animals around the yard are all considered wild and we love them but don't get too attached.

Well... being a completely undisciplined and inconsistent, I named him Sparky.
