welcome man from the UK. What part of the K are you from?

I don't have any personal experience with these devices so I can make no suggestions. I imagine it's a personal choice, so check them out in person if possible. Wink

I think that if it´s just the keyboard you are after DX-7´s are a steal; that´s what I use for controling keyboard-type sounds.

Without knowing your exact goals I would recommend the following companies- As Kassen said you can get another keyboard and use it as a controller and also have its own internal sounds to use if you choose.
Depends on if you want weighted/piano type action also, and it is indeed good to try before you buy. I recommend looking at the following links below. These links show some really inexpensive and decent controllers namely maudio. Though there are many choices for sure... It is better not to always get the cheapest though with such an important piece of hardware, and for me the more features the better, but for you that may not be the case. If you have more questions please feel free to ask.
Wink

I've used the Alesis Airsynth, which has the same AXYZ controller as the photon. It's a very nice gestural controller, and I'm considering picking up a photon just for that. The airsynth is cool but the sounds are not programmable.
