40106 lunetta drone |
 |
|
Hi happy new year! im tryiing to do my first "lunetta machine" (im continue failing XD) and now i have this problem:
I have to cables soldered in to the pcb that goes to a 5v breadbord powersuply. I cant get sound when i plug some of the out of the 40106. In one out y have noise that modulates with one of the potenciometers.
I saw the conexion good, use a multimeter to chek it, maybe must have missed something.

all your potentiometer connections are wrong. Please take your time to study the function of potentiometers. If you understand the difference between a potentiometer as variable resistor and as voltage divider, go back to the breadboard and fix your errors Don't give up and have fun ! |

Those look correct to me, considering that the center pin (wiper) is connected to one of the outer pins.
If only the outer pins were connected it shouldn't really matter much anyway apart from not being able to increase the frequency.
but maybe there is something else I missed.
what I am curious about is:

How are you listening to it ?
what are the capacitor values ?
Those electrolytic ones are likely too large to produce anything in the audible range but could be used for modulation.
Also, did you test it on a breadboard first before soldering ? _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

I don't see the center pins on the pots connected to anything. Of course, if you just use the outside pins you just have a non-variable resistor. _________________ --Howard
