It is with a sad and broken heart that I report that Ziggy has passed away. He attended electro-music 2006 and made lots of friends. He was born with kidney disease. We knew that when we adapted him. The kidney specialist vet we took him to when we first got him said he would only last a week or tow, but he lived a rich and loving life for another 7 months.

He got to see Spring and Summer, he played in the rain and in the mud, he listened to a lot of electro-music, and he even got to chase fire files. He was one of the rare dogs that could smile. We will miss him.

That's really sad, but it's good he had a home and a life, even if for short.

I am very very sorry to hear that. I know what it means to loose a friend. My beloved Cosmo died two years ago and I still cry when I think of him but Jan is right:

Ziggy will be truely missed.
He was so brave and his smile was comforting .

Some people say that they don't want to get another dog because of this incredible pain when the die, which is indeed profound, but IMHO the love and joy they give more than makes up for the pain of the loss.

We have a little bit of traveling planned for August. When that's behind us, I'm sure we'll start looking for another puppy.
