Great set, Jez. All this playing lately has improved you!

and here's the recording, an ambient/noise excursion with some sequencing thrown in for good measure

I quite enjoyed the experiment and will probably have another go at some point Smile

This week I will be taking a break from my own music adventures and play tracks from members of the electro-music forum. More details to be announced.

...and the details are as follows:

I will be playing music from Twisted-Space, KillerHaven and Static Strobe Emitter, all three of which are members of the electro-family.

Despite some telephone interruptions, I was able to catch a lot of Rob's latest show yesterday. I felt that the calm, relaxing tone of Rob's voice made for a nice vocal intro and Rob seemed comfortable working with the equipment in real time (was booting up his iThingie while doing the intro). I also thought that the Str0be selection showed a bit of the spacey side of Str0be which helped fuse typically discordant styles into a good mix of sounds. Well done, Rob.

Thank you Les, it warms my heart to hear that. Very Happy

Esp the voice thing. I don't feel very comfortable speaking on the radio, but I see it as a good way of making it more personal, giving a proper live feel to it, even if this paritcular show was DJ'd.

I am noticing everybody is improving their mic technique. I approve. Wink

Tonight's show was a journey into uncharted territory for me, I played my whole set using the ipod touch and assorted apps, through a mini-kp, repeater, dd-20 and wedge

Apps used were bebot, nlog, igendyn, toplapapp, curtis, noise.io, manetron, space and white noise.

There were a few wobbly bits, but I had fun Smile

after the show, I did an improv on my BoardWeevil for anyone who wanted to listen. Here is the last part of this, improvised using BW, DD-20 delay and Wedge reverb. It's quite experimental and droney

Tonight I will be playing a track that I have been working on for the last week. It is called "For those who are not completely here".

Embarassed

Thank you Shane, and the feeling is mutual - I love electro-music and everyone on here. It has been a great inspiration for me to be part of this, and I have always felt very welcome from minute one.

Also, I forgot to say - this episode shows signs of things to come in future adventures. I won't tell you which elements of it because I want to keep it a secret - just in case it does not work out... Wink

My 8th AIS show is tonight - I'm going to do a freeform ambient drone set and have decided to use some of the big stuff tonight: Voyager, Prophet 5, Matrix 12, Nord G2, Wavestation and Andromeda. It will be a prequel of sorts for my NYE set tomorrow
