All of this is consistent with a new product to replace both the Wave and the Lead. If they're really clever, they'd sell it that way, while using an updated version of the G2 codebase to drive it. If they're really, really clever, they'd offer a way to patch it from an iPad, and include an iPad-sized blank space on the panel.

Ark! You're a genius! Smile

I thought the Nord Wave was the new Nord Lead with sample capabilities. Would it be wise to release a Nord Lead 4 (without sample capabilities)?
It most likely a lot of components of the NordLead2X aren't that availlable anymore...
So just a new plain synth without the samples, which is already there: the Wave, NE3 and the Stage2. It is rather troublesome to to change the samples in the Wave due to the change in other Patches. There are musicians who do't want to sample: a pure, ready to use synth!

Ah well...if they do, I'm not interested, because I already have one (though mine isn't painted this elaborately).

So, it looks like there is enough room to put the word Modular in there, don't you think?

If you use this picture as guide line to your prediction, one could say:

- It's a key version.
- The Keyboard is probably smaller than the one on the NordModular Classic. (Less than 25 keys)
- No in and outs, so all is done by connectors ON the Panel, most likely USB.
- No power cord, so it works on batteries.
- It will be a G4 then...

It's a tabletop Wifi synthesizer with mental synthesis! The sounds are generated inside your head, and you control it with mental waves. Nice thing is that you can put your your cat near the synth and have random sounds.

Hammer action on the Electro?
Surely on the Nord piano, but Electro?

BTW why is the quote in French?
On my screen it's all in English...

Maybe they mean they want people to play the Electro, then go out and get hammered.

"Nord Wave II" doesn't sound good. "Nord Tsunami" would be a different beast but I guess one can't do that. Then it could be the Nord Noodlenami, but I think that's to close to the Moog Noodlefoodle which will come out any day now. If it would be a harpsichord it would be called Norpsichord. So, my best guess is it is indeed the hammer thing because it would fit and it's really not funny enough to be an April joke.
