Here's our set from Aug 2, 2025. Again Bill is in Nazareth, Pennsylvania and I'm am in Durham, North Carolina. We use Ninjam software in the Reaper DAW.

Sadly, Bill's cousin, Jerry, was badly injoured in a recent automobile vs. bicycle accident. This one's dedicated to him, wishing him all the best.

And now for something a bit different. Here's Twyndyllyngs August 23, 2026 set on Chez Mosc. Bill and I are preparing for the upcoming NEEMfest in New York next month. This time I restricted myself to just the equipment I'm planning on using then. Next week Bill will also do this.

My equipment consisted of:

Osmose
Roli Seaboard
iPad
Zoom L6 mixer
Electric Ukulele and Walarus Qi effects pedal

I used the L6 to record our parts. 32 bit floating point is a huge help. This mixer, recorder, audio interface is a gem, IMHO.

So, this was a bit of a rehearsal. I like this set. It has a symphonic aura similar to Twyndyllyngs from 10 or 15 years ago. Yes, we have been playing together for about 20 years.

Here is Twyndyllyngs' September 27, 2025 live stream on the Chez Mosc program. It was a rare session where neither Bill nor I had no significant technical problems. Also, there was nothing to edit!

For this session, I rearranged my studio a bit by stacking my Nord Stage, Osmose and Roli Seaboard. Also close at hand was my iPad and my Zoom L6 mixer. The computer running my DAW and streaming software, Nimjam, is to my left, not shown in this picture.

Here's the performance of Twyndyllyngs from December 20, 2025. This one was post processed a lot. It turned out to be a 4 voice canon, more or less. It reminds me of sets we did about 15 years ago that have the feeling of floating down a river through different sonic environments. This is more like a train ride perhaps.

As is usual lately, Bill was in Pennsylvania and I was in North Carolina. The collaboration software was Ninjam.

We missed a week after the NYE concert. Here is Twyndyllyngs, Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz, set from Jan, 10, 2026. As usual I was in North Carolina and Bill was in Pennsylvania. I had some technical problems so we started about 15 minutes late.

This one came out nice, IMHO. Bill and I have been playing together for 24 years now and sometimes it amazes me that we come up with something different.

Here's tonight's Chez Mosc program featuring Twyndyllyngs, Bill Fox and Howard Moscovitz, as usual. 2026 is our 24th year of playing together. Each week, almost, we play live for about one hour. Some weeks life steps in and we can't do it, but we do pull it off most of the time. During the covid epidemic I moved down to Durham, North Carolina and we have continued to play together over the internet using Ninjam software (free). We live about 463 miles, 745 kilometers, apart but that hasn't stopped us. We have learned to adapt to the latency.

I think this week was a special set because this recording has zero edits. No clicks, wolf tones, glaring mistakes, or unintended dropouts, and not a single level adjustment.

Tonight we are buckling down for this year's "Storm Of The Century" that is going to hit the East Coast over the next few days. With apologies to Bob Dylan, we call this one Shelter From The Storm.

Lately my interest in Alexander Zolotov's innovative apps on IOS has been renewed by the release of Low Poly Synth. Last night Bill and I decided to do a little experiment by using only Zolotov's apps for our set. I used only Low Poly Synth and Bill used more, but only Zolotov's. (He did confess that he cheated and used his guitar to play the last chord, a C major. Shocked

)

Alelxander's apps are happily unlike other ones. He has his own ideas which are remarkably refreshing. If you're not familiar with his synths, just checkout his website using the link above.

Anyhow, we had a blast restricting ourselves to his apps only. I can't explain what happens when we improvise with them. They are splendid for ambient styles. We played for our usual time of one hour. Most of the times we play I'm somewhat exhausted when we're finished. Last night the opposite happened; I was both relaxed and energized. I can't speak for Bill, but I think he was too.

If you are someone who likes electronic music just to experiment and play around with gear for fun, as opposed to music production and composition, you probably should give these apps a try.

Here's our "Zolotov only set". This is pretty much an air check recording; no edits or adjustments to the mix. These are a few clicks and pops but that's live performance for you.
