Well said, Howard. Clavia reserves the right to utilize some of their own creativity.

I tried to reread this thread a couple of times and I still don't quite understand one thing:
Is the message being sent to Clavia a summary of the Wish List forum entries?
I want to change my vote concerning delays to the vote for variable bit delays, as proposed several times in these forums (24 bit, 16 bit, 8 bit, 1 bit, etc.), instead of making all delays 16 bit. |

Just wondering where we are on this?
And yes as far as I gather GovernorSilver the list will be sent directly to Clavia.
my vote:
fix delay sync problems/error when set to external sync.
Perhaps this can be thrown in with the other long laundry list of delay concerns. |

just wanted to inform you that i got a reply from clavia where they state that such a call up was interesting for them to understand where the user community stands...
I would say we can close this thread now... 50 wishes was collected and a tendency was shown where the interest in a filterbank, advanced pattern sequencers, a freaky ram module..was the biggest and lot of other ideas mentioned...#
Now it´s on Clavia, wether they find the time or not to do an update will be seen in the future...
Realistically we will know next year at this time...First they have to bring out the nord wave...
I just realized that there is a little advantage in the latest efforts of clavia in doing a big stage piano and a big stage organ...
This kind of products are beyond fashion and you just dont replace them in the product pallette soon...So in the next years clavia has more time to do in synthesizers ... There is only one stage piano..and one 2 manual hammond in a musicans setup... but synths? you can have many of them.....
I am somehow a bit more optimistic now regarding the future of the nord modular system |

why? there is a wishlist subforum and this is all speculativ anyway.. a sticky would state this wishes as a must have..but they are not.
The future will show how the instrument will develop... i personaly think that there will be one more update... a version 2..
i give that 50/50 to happen.. clavia got the info... so some of the wishes might be adressed others defenetly not..its just too many of them.
I think it was good to show that certain things are from higher interest for the userbase than others..
no sticky needed to remind us for that |

There' never been an official confirmation about a new OS being released. It's purely speculation |

It's not pure speculation - it has been confirmed by Clavia people that a new OS in the plans, but no date has been set for release, meaning probably they are not working on it yet. So, it should come, but no time-frame has ever been given, so it might take months or year. Don't wait for it, you'll get frustrated. Just be surprised when they finally get around to it. _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

Does this sound like what they said about the NM 1 editor update? |

yes, but then they hit the limit of the NM1 h/w they were developing on. Thus the G2.

Hmmm, I wasn't aware of that. I formally withdraw my cynical comments. |

That only counts for the additional features, particularly with regard to patch-generated.MIDI-out. I don't think there is a hardware limit that kept them from fixing matters like the problems with using morphgrous on some of the compressor parameters.
At least some of the factors involved were economic matters. _________________ Kassen |
