what time of the day was when you took the last 2 pictures?

Both were taken approx around 19.00 PM.

I got my Manfrotto 055CLB today. It is much lighter ( 2,3 kg) than my Manfrotto 058B ( 6,5 kg + head ). The other old tripods I have are either extremely large or even heavier or both. I needed something reasonably light. However, these pics were all taken without a tripod.

Nice pics, Elektro80. I used to have a Volvo 122S (1968) myself. It was tan or light brown. It never got quite as bad off as that one, but pretty close.

Cool car!
Tan?

They came in a rather nice eggshellish something too.
I´ve never seen any brown though.

That's because you ain't lived in the countryside enough! Cool

I've seen both tan ones, beige ones, and white ones that had that lovely red-brown colour you only get just before a car starts disintegrating from rust.

How does that new lightweight manfrotto compare to your others? I'd like something that's rigid, but light enough to fit in a pack on a hike. It gets rather windy here in the Rocky Mountains.

It seems quite solid, but it is of course not anything like the Manfrotto 058B. So far I have only shot a few pictures using the 055CLB and these came out quite OK. I will probably do some serious work this weekend and I will post examples or comments.

Wind is a problem. There is hardly a decent solution to this at all. Obviously I don´t think bringing a Manfrotto M809 studio centerpole stand into the wilderness is a great idea.

Too big! Laughing

It helps to bring a tent of sorts or something you can use as a windscreen. Hanging some heavy on the tripod will work too.

IMO, most of the expensive carbon stands are too flimsy. Carbon tripods can break too.

Here is a multirow gigapixel image ( a reduced version though ) shot with a similar inexpensive Manfrotto tripod.

Hey, Stein. Is that a new cafe in front of the Cathedral? I don't remember it from 2003.
